It was ok. I was informed that they make their own bacon and chicken strips. It’s not a place I would go out of my way to eat at, unless I wanted fries. Their spiral cut fries were amazing, the staff was friendly and the cook came out to greet us and say goodbye. Hospitality was great, but I’m kind of ambiguous on how I really feel about the food itself. It was my first time there, so I shouldn’t judge all meals based on the one that I had.
My daughter thought it was cozy, if that helps.

Good down-home breakfast, generous portions, served in a clean and bright, light-filled space. Friendly service.
There are a handful of cozy wooden booths as well as bigger tables that can handle larger groups.
Last time we were there they had a fried pickles special. Golden, crispy, deep-fried, delicious perfection!

We just had breakfast at the Rusty Rooster and everything was delicious. Hot cider, omelettes, pancakes, the biscuits! The hash browns were amazing and no ketchup was needed as they were seasoned and cooked perfectly. It was all so good and portions are generous. We ate way too much food. We even got some homemade dog biscuits for our pups and they loved those too!

We stopped by here after staying at Priest Lake, and now, this will be a tradition! Excellent food!!! My grandson still talks about the food here- (it’s been months); he says it’s the best place Ebert- he had the smoked, pulled pork sandwich. I’d suggest any of their smoked items- fantastic flavor! Delicious chip, fries and generous portions.

Had breakfast here after Church at St. Catherines in Priest River. The service was very friendly and the apple pancake were great. Huge pancakes. My 9 year old son is a pancake connoisseur, he rated his monster pancakes a 10. Drop by the Rusty Rooster and you won’t be disappointed. Thanks for breakfast and we’ll see you the next time we’re in town.

The Rusty Rooster is just the spot for breakfast. Home fares with a taste of the South. You can get grits as an option if toast or hash browns aren’t piquing your fancy. The veggie omlette is packed with fresh vegetables, the pancakes are fluffy and the Apple cider is just what a cold morning calls for. The friendly service and small town feel makes you feel welcome. As a bonus, they make a special treat for your canine companions that they still for only a dollar. I suggest you swing on in if you are in the area, you won’t be disappointed.

The first time we stopped to eat there we had no idea what time they closed..we got there at 7:55pm and they close at 8pm. We ended up ordering food to go but they were so nice and friendly to serve us with only 5 mins left opened! The food and service was so great that we eat there about once a week now! Very good food and service

Spicy breakfast? Yes please!
I just finished eating at the Rusty Rooster and I absolutely loved the Jalapeño Haystack! So much flavor and the spiciness was just right for me. Definitely will be back for more.

Small place with decent size meals, delicious food and very friendly service. We stopped in for Sunday breakfast, the brisket omelet with yellow grits was delicious.

Had a bacon cheeseburger made with 50/50 ground beef/ground brisket. Tasted good until it made me sick and I had diarrhea all night. Won’t eat here again.
