loved the service and patience of Britany All kudos to her
Got seated right away and waitress was really helpful in answering questions about the menu.
Mrs got the steamed peel n eat shrimp. Nice size portion however it came out on a bucket of ice and was over seasoned IMO. Mrs kinda wanted it hot so if you didn’t want an oversized shrimp cocktail maybe ask if you can get it heated and less Old Bay. The cocktail sauce is great and I took the shrimp and dunked them in my water to de-season them. Problem solved. Plus the Double Nickel salad and a side of Brussels sprouts.
I got the Sirloin Chili which had a good flavor to it but really didn’t get much sirloin. And the side house salad with honey mustard dressing.
All in all it was pretty good and good sized portions.
We’ve been at Cedar Point and arrived in Mason, OH today for our visit to King’s Island tomorrow & Friday.
We chose the Rusty Bucket based on location and ratings. We were not disappointed!
We got great service from Andy, who gave us park recommendations as well as excellent service.
Our food was excellent as well.
I had the Double Nickel salad with house dressing. Husband had broccoli cheddar soup + Mac N cheese. Kid 1 had the buffalo chicken sandwich. Kid 2 had the sliders. Kid 3 had the beef nachos.
All of us loved the food. It was the best food we’ve had during our trip. Husband even said the soup was the best broccoli cheddar he’s ever had.
Andy was an excellent server and took good care of us.
We highly recommend this restaurant to locals and visitors. I can’t say enough about how good our experience was.
I wasn’t prepared for how amazing the service would be. We accidentally arrived right in the middle of rush hour, and there weren’t any tables left. The hostess (or maybe she was a waitress—I’m not sure of her title) went out of her way to seat us in the party room. I don’t know if she had to make special arrangements for it, but we were incredibly grateful to be accommodated, especially during such a busy time. We enjoyed great food, lots of laughs, and an overall wonderful experience at good old Rusty Bucket.
I also want to mention another visit when I came with a friend. Normally, adults can’t order the kids’ entrees, but our waitress kindly let us order the mac and cheese from the kids’ menu. It was such a small gesture, but paired with her recommendations for the half-off appetizers during happy hour, it really made our visit special.
I truly love this staff. Even if my connection to them feels a bit parasocial, they’re a big part of what makes Deerfield/Mason such a great community. Thank you to everyone at Rusty Bucket for all that you do—no matter how small it may seem, it truly makes a difference.

We both got the Trio, which included a half Club, crock of soup, and a salad.
Other than having to send my soup back because it was barely warm, it was a good value for the amount of food.
Atmosphere: It’s a pub.
Service: We sat at the bar, because there was plenty of seating. Good service.
Quality of the food: French Onion soup has to be served hot, which my first crock wasn’t. My replacement crock, the cheese was clearly scorched, but it was hot and melted, so no complaints. Note, the Club is a warmed sandwich. Salad was fresh. The salad with the bacon tastes just like a Wedge if you sub for the blue cheese. Yum!
Standard fare, and nothing but the hot melty cheese and blue cheese jumped out at me.
Good meal if you want something pub.
No seltzers on tap. Would have a been a win had they just had 1.
