Quaint place with BBQ scents. Everyone was very nice, polite and helpful. Fusrt time here so took a while to order and they were patient. I got the baked potato with brisket, Mac n cheese, sour cream, butter and cheese. Biggest potato I have ever seen. Delicious everything and of course I had to take plenty home. Sandwiches and plates also looked good and generous. Dessert was a take away of of pecan pie bread pudding. Oh my! All the others looked great also. Well be back!

I ordered the Smack Attack Potato. This monster-sized spud was overflowing with brisket, mac & cheese, butter, sour cream, and shredded cheese. Three choices of BBQ sauce were available; I tried the regular and the sweet. Both were delish! My food was served piping hot within minutes of ordering it. The staff are friendly and helpful.

The food was great. Especially the sweet potato casserole. A bit sad the brisket was dry. Blacks BBQ on a budget. You really can’t beat good BBQ for this price! Best I’ve had in SA so far!

Very good variety, very good, not great brisket. Sausage is good, loaded potatoes are good, great sides as well. Honestly have not had a bad meal here yet. nmNice dining area, but the door is reversed and causes some folks to make multiple attempts to open. Staff is helpful and friendly

VENUE: 3 Stars – nice place nothing exceptiknal that i noted
PRICE: 3 Stars – the price is fair
BBQ: 3 Stars – I think the serving size was a little small on the plate that I got especially for the price. Not a lot of variety on the barbecue sauce.
Overall, this place is worth checking out. The staff is very nice. There’s just nothing about this barbecue that stands out to me to make it exceptional.

Wow! This is a neat little hole in the wall restaurant with great barbecue! We ordered three combo plates with various meats and various sides and everything was absolutely delicious. I can’t wait to travel back here from Washington State to introduce my husband to you all. He’s really going to love it as well. A little expensive for the three of us. It was over $70.00

This was my first time dining here. My daughter took me there during my visit with her. The food was amazing (I had The Smackdown baked potato w/sausage and ribs) and the staff was friendly and professional. The atmosphere was very laid back and inviting. The next time I visit Texas, this is definitely the place I’m going to get the best BBQ.

Indoors was perfect, cashier was friendly and owner was nice, I really really wanted to love this place. Tea was southern and sweetened to perfection. Cream corn was excellent, potato salad was good. 3 types of bbq sauce! Sweet, regular and spicy! Brisket portion was AWESOME, not stingy with the meat. My one thing and it’s a big one is that the brisket was chewy, had absolutely no bark or smoke ring. I wanna try this place again because I really wanna like it.
