One of the nicer Italian restaurants in Telluride. The food is approachable, traditional Italian and delicious. We went in on the night of Christmas Eve and they were gracious and engaging. The staff was extraordinarily attentive and made us feel welcome and cared for. The menu is broad and the meals are exceptional. I had a delicious risotto that was overflowing with mushrooms and flavor.

Rustico continues to be one of our favorite restaurants in Telluride! Our last visit was in 2016 and the visit for this review is from June 2025. Service was fast and consistent and the restaurant had a positive vibe throughout. Food, while expensive, was delicious. The spicy rigatoni was a specific standout. Would come back again next time we’re in the area.

Went to celebrate my wife’s birthday and had a fantastic meal. We were very thankful that we seated in the cozy main dining area because the other areas looked rather sterile and uninviting.
My wife’s fettuccine with creamy mushroom sauce was amazing. I had the spinach, ravioli special and it was good but not special. The house bread served with the meal was excellent. Service from Mateo (?) was friendly, helpful and attentive.

This is the best Italian food I’ve had since I was in Italy. The service was impeccable and truly warranted the accolades this establishment has earned. I really can’t wait to come back for another visit. I had the Rigatoni Arrabbiata which was incredible. It had the perfect amount of spice. My wife had the ravioli which were so delicious and tender you could really tell they were made in house.

Amazing food. We had a waitress who was great and a bus boy named Gabriel who was amazing. He is ready to be a waiter. He is from Italy and knows how to cultivate an experience and has excellent attention to detail. He is the reason we had such a wonderful experience! Impeccable service — Karl, our bartender, took care of everything. The food and wine exceeded our expectations. I will say that the Cream of Mushroom soup was very light — good, but very light on flavor. The Rigatoni alla Montanara was insanely awesome and the sausage was very tasty. Highly recommend that one.

A nice Italian restaurant, with delicious food and great service. Expensive. But worth it, if you want to splurge. We went during the summer, and we sat in the patio under a big tent. Great atmosphere, and great views of the town and the surrounding mountains.

Felt rushed by server from the beginning. We had reservations at 6 pm and very few people in the place. Oh, and the music didn’t match an Italian setting.
Have to say the food was less than marginal for a supposedly high-in Italian restaurant in Telluride. So disappointed in my pasta, sauce (lack of) and appetizer. Wine $65 was at best a $20 bottle.
Calamari was cold but although not spongy.. Sauce was bland, thin and not very tasty. Not worth it.
My wife’s risotto wasn’t cooked long enough. My pasta tasted like it was from a fast food Italian restaurant.
$250 food, wine & desserts with tip, for just the two of us. Over priced for what they offer. I’d pay more for better quality.
The best thing was the pistachio gelato.
Chocolate mousse just ok.
If this passes as a fine dining experience in Telluride then you may be all around disappointed. Pitiful for a place in Telluride. Sad. ⭐️
