I had the Snake River Waygu Flank Steak, my fiancé had the Bouillabaise, and we had the Sautéed Bay Scallops as a starter. The food was very good. I highly recommend the Sautéed Bay Scallops as a starter. The waygu was cooked perfectly but there was something different to the flavor that kept throwing me off. It’s honestly just my taste, nothing against the steak or chef. My fiancés dish was very good as well. Their White Russians were A-1 and hands down recommend for a choice of drink. The service was impeccable, polite, and knowledgeable. We reserved a table so there was no waiting, even with us showing up 15 minutes early. The atmosphere was nice. Not loud and overpowering. The prices were reasonable for the food and drink menus. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try on your next business diner or date night.

My favorite restaurant in Kalamazoo. We again had a great meal at Rustica. we started with a Harvest Salad and Mushroom Fondue. The salad was fruity and nutty with a great date component. The Mushroom Fondue was savory, full of texture and brothy flavors. Loved them both.
We followed that with the Gnocchi, which was so deliciously savory and creamy. Plus the Seafood Boulliabase, loaded with scallops, shrimp, salmon and potatoes. Loved it.
They have a great wine list too.

This place is very high class with a cozy romantic environment and delicious food. Definitely have to try the bone marrow and bread. The lamb shank was so good, and my wife’s favorite was wagyu beef steak. Absolutely mouth watering. This place is worth every penny spent. Located on the Kalamazoo Mall street that is decorated for the season made the short walk to and from our parking spot even more romantic and special. Service here was great. We will definitely be returning again in the near future.

I’ve been here multiple times and wanted to take my mom here for a special occasion. I’m rating the menu based on my husband who is an executive chef. We were very disappointed with the server Courtney with the nose ring. We were nothing but kind to her and her attitude was rude the whole entire night. We came in with a positive family get together attitude and she ruined the atmosphere of our dinner. She was only nice when she gave us the check.
The olive oil that was served with the bread was terrible. It tasted cheap like it was bulk from Costco. Some of the mussels we ordered were spoiled, they tasted like horse manure. The scallops were amazing. The main courses were very disappointing. Honestly Roca has a way better duck breast on their menu which is what I ordered and it’s right across the street. The loaf with white sauce was spoiled and clashed with the duck and cherries. The rigatoni was watery. The mushroom forroto had too strong of what tasted like a red wine sauce. The taste was strong and off, very soupy. The only good thing about my dinner here was the wine selection and the bottle of Cabernet that we got. You would think they would have a white sauce pasta on their menu.

My friends and I went out here celebrating for a special occasion. I loved the food and the environment. Even though we were there near closing, nobody rushed us out.

I will say that other places in the area have better drinks. All 4 of us ordered drinks and as much as I love a heavy pour, I asked for something sweet it was mainly alcohol. Other than that, loved it and will be back!

Fantastic food and service! Everything we get is delicious here. The steak was extremely tender and cooked perfectly, the chicken and mashed potatoes are some of the best we’ve ever had. I tried mussels for the first time and I have a feeling the bar was set very high.

My wife discover this place online and wanted to try it. The facility is narrow and deep with the kitchen visible through a glass wall and a bar at the far end near the clean up area.

Lighting was low and the mood was set for an intimate setting. No music to distract from conversation. The tables had a linen cloth covered with brown craft paper.

The different food items were brought to the table at an odd pace but gave time to discuss the experience.

Started with a charcuterie board that provided a nice spread of cheese breads. The grilled romaine salad was topped with Caesar dressing. The main entrees were Wagyu steak and broccoli and roasted duck breast with parsnips.

One item was turned away because of our personal choice but you should experiment and try new things.

Excellent food, great service, good value.
What an amazing fine dining experience! The food here is fantastic. The service was very good even though it was busy. The atmosphere is nice, upscale. The kitchen is in the dining room enclosed in glass, watching the chefs is an added joy.

I have to say thank you for squeezing us in at the last minute with no reservations on a busy Friday night. The style of the open concept kitchen is phenomenal. The onion soup and the skirt steak are delicious on every account. A romantic evening in Kalamazoo checked this place out.
