The service at Rustic Oak Cabin Steakhouse was fantastic and the food was cooked to perfection and served quickly. We were camping out of state and found this place online and we’re so glad we chose it for dinner. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was warm and inviting making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal. I have to say the Chicken Fried Chicken meal was the best I’ve ever had! They also offer homemade fudge and mouth-watering homemade turtle cheesecake that are absolutely to die for. If you’re ever near Perry, Mo I highly recommend it! We’ll definitely be back.

First time here and had their catfish dinner with a salad and it was a great meal. Love their salads and good size portions. Great onion rings. Pretty big menu so lots of choices. I know it’s a steak house but I thought their steaks were a little pricey. Great choices for deserts also. Service was excellent and very friendly atmosphere. I would highly recommend eating here if in the area.

Went today and got the lunch catfish meal. I was disappointed in the size of the catfish as in the past they were twice the size. Amazing nonetheless! Wonderful service as I was greeted immediately when I came in the door. Keep up the good work ladies.

Wonderful place to eat out in the middle of nowhere! We live in Southern Iowa, but are down in the perry area quite often and really love this restaurant! Their fried catfish is phenomenal! The staff are super pleasant and friendly. The wait time to be seated can be a little long, but it’s absolutely worth the wait!

Tried this place out as a break from camping. The food, environment, and staff were great. They do not serve any alcohol, which was fine with me. My only complaint was the price when it was all said and done. They give you a lot of food which makes up for it but I, personally, would have been happier with smaller portions with a lower price.

Amazing food. The country fried steak is a perfect classic recipe that hits every note to bring back memories of the good ol days. They also have some sort of Jack Daniels glaze they put on grilled salmon that has a very unique taste profile that really brings Salmon to a whole new level of deliciousness.
Pro tip: Do NOT leave without some of their fudge to take home.

It was absolutely amazing! My extended family and us all met up for a reunion and they are all cheerful and amazing even with little staff. Highly recommend for big gatherings and they got us our food relatively fast based on how many of us there are. I will definitely be coming back sometime soon.

Please do not take your young kiddos here unless you plan on being there for 3 hours! Our kiddos are 4 and 6, the place was not very busy so not sure what the wait was. Anyways we waited finally go seated, ordered our food and an appetizer.. my husband and I both ordered steaks and we were planning to share with the kids. My steak came and was so over done that I couldn’t chew it at all.. so sent it back.. the new one was a little better. When we looked at our bill they charged us 6 extra dollars bc we were sharing food with our 6 and 4 year old… Are you KIDDING ME? After we sat there for almost 2 hours waiting and ordered an appetizer? We will absolutely NEVER be back to this establishment.

Great food! Portions were large. The inside has such a cute, cozy, country feel. Blows Junction out of the water. Good quality food. Highly recommend! This has been our go-to restaurant in Perry for years.
