They do it right! Soft, juicy and good tasting bbq. Had the brisket and the and it didn’t disappoint. I’m from Texas and I can tell you, they do it just like Texas! Great service and atmosphere is a family setting. I would come back to this place and get me some more of that good tasting bbq.

A great new find for our trips through Lake City. Either eating on the patio with a view of the lake or inside, the pulled pork is fantastic. A variety of sauces to choose from. Just tried their BBQ pizza that was recently added to the menu, it is delicious! Stopped on Saturday and they had amazing ribs!

The Rustic Hog is one of my favorite places to eat here in Lake City Michigan. My favorite is their pulled pork on everything, doesn’t matter sandwich or potato. Just had their western delight this last visit and it was amazing. I never leave hungry and their serving sizes excellent. The service is spot on and their French fries remind me of a food truck from Germany that you could only get them from there. I can’t say enough

Enjoyed a nice dinner with the family while in town for a visit. Service was good and the wait time for the food was not long at all. There were no containers required to take food home after the meal. We all enjoyed our meals and cleaned our plates.
The restaurant accepts credit cards, but they add a 3% service fee.
I would definitely eat here again. Super convenient to have good eats in Lake city and not have to drive over to Cadillac.

We stopped in for lunch and ordered a little bit of everything: the meat sampler, pulled pork sandwich, and the turkey plate. The meat was pretty good.. we loved the sausage and pulled pork!
The bbq sauces all tasted similar.. we really wish they had a stronger, vinegar based one. But service was we even saw the owner bring a pup his own little cup of meat (that alone deserves an extra star ).
Overall, it’s a good spot and the atmosphere is wonderful. They’ve got a great outdoor patio and the staff are very welcome & friendly.
PS two recommendations to management: have the server bring wet wipes and please introduce banana pudding!

Visiting Lake City from Texas for a week and stopped in a few times. Good vibe and service. Faye served me at the outside patio and was very friendly. Had the pulled pork tacos with chips, some of ghost pepper ranch and side of jalapeño ranch. Everything was great and big portions for tacos.
Definitely recommend this place especially the outdoor patio.

Fantastic first experience! We got the meat sampler and one of every sauce so we could try everything. The hottest sauce is really tasty and actually pretty tolerable heat wise. The hog tater with brisket was really good too, definitely something I’d get again. We ordered the regular coleslaw but wanted to try the raspberry so we got a sample and realized we should’ve just went with the raspberry- it had a great fresh flavor and maybe even a little cumin? I want to make it at home now.

Lexi was our server, and she made the whole evening perfect! My sister and I split the ribs with sides and late summer peach pie. Everything was made in house and super yummy. The decor is adorable, and service was 10/10. Thanks for dinner, Rustic Hog!
