Stopped in for Linner after a day at the mall. Wanted to try a new restaurant down here as we are traveling to Midland more but like to stay in Odessa. Waitress was mostly friendly, although seemed perturbed we came in between the lunch and dinner rush! We were the only customers in the building for almost 45 mins. Food was prepared fairly fast and was delivered hot n fresh. Large portions of chicken fried steak, it was pretty good.
Onion rings were lightly battered and seasoned well, their French fries were seasoned nicely too. Bacon was crunchy, pancakes soft and fluffy! Overall 5*, we would eat here again.

I would love to give 5 stars because the food and staff are fantastic, and the prices are fair . But sadly waiting 45min for bacon and eggs is not where its at . The amount of people coming through this place has picked up tremendously and in a very full restaurant there were only 2 servers and 2 cooks doing their absolute best to keep up. I have nothing bad to say about them. PLEASE HIRE MORE STAFF , we want to keep coming but waiting so long to get our food is definitely a deterrent !!

5-24-2022: I ordered the chicken fried steak with gravy, with Mac & cheese and mashed potatoes as the sides. I ordered the boneless BBQ wings & the brisket queso as the appetizers.
For dessert I ordered a oreo shake which was amazing and sweet.
Overall the food was decent quality but nothing too amazing honestly, I did order my food through the online ordering to go. The restaurant it self is nice inside and out and the staff was friendly.

Delicious comfort food. Prompt service and very attentive. I’ve sampled a few plates here. Brisket queso was good, but the sweet BBQ sauce does overwhelm the queso. Biscuits and sausage gravy was damn delicious. Their bacon cheeseburger and chicken fried steak were good, but I’ll probably stick to their chopped sirloin with brown gravy and sautéed onions. Hand battered onion rings and mac & cheese are possibly their 2 best sides. Ranch potatoes weren’t ideal for me, but the table did like them. Waffles are tastier than pancakes, plus Rustic serves their syrup hot which is great. Their omelet was delicious with very fluffy eggs.

Let me start by saying that the coffee is excellent. If there were half stars I would give this place a 3 and 1/2. Basically, it’s a corporate restaurant that’s trying to be a country cafe and missing the mark. It is very clean and open. The service is good, we really liked our waitress. As I said, the coffee is excellent. The food sounds better than it is. It’s completely edible but nothing special.

This was our first time trying Rustic Cafe and we’re very impressed. Upon walking in I immediately noticed how clean the establishment was. We were greeted and sat very quickly by the hostess. Our server Kylie R. was phenomenal with great customer service. Being that is was our first time we asked for recommendations in your which she suggested one of her faves the brisket queso. She also informed us that they served breakfast all day if we were interested in giving that a try. We received our food quickly and Kylie was very attentive to all our needs. We will definitely be back! Thanks for the great service Kylie.

I came on my lunch break since I had been wanting to try it. The hostess was really sweet and took my drink order right away. I could tell they were under staffed so I knew to give them time. After I got my drink the host took my order (appetizer wings). I sat for about 20 minutes before another waitress came to “take my order”. I told her that the other lady already took my order and then she proceeded to tell me that she did not see my order in but she could put it in now. By this point my break was over halfway done and I would not have time enjoy my food so I told the waitress I would not have time so I would just finish my drink and leave. She did not seem interested her job at all and nonchalantly Said she could place an order to go but I politely declined as I work in a medical office and eating at the front desk is frowned upon. After the lack of service I received today I will not be returning and hope that no one else wastes their time waiting for an order that was never placed.

I have to say i’m extremely disappointed with the overall food quality and portion size We had the Chicken Fried steak that looked huge but was 80% batter and a tough piece of steak there was a side of mash potatoes and mack and chees both approx 2 tablespoons of each. we ordered brisket queso without the bbq sauce. we received it with bbq sauce and had to have it redone. thay being said it was very good. we also ordered the new york strip it was cooked well and pretty good and a decent value. the picture below shows the left over batter from the chicken fry. For the record we had burgers from there the other day and they were delicious it was 51 plus tip for 2 of us its def not worth the price
