I have been a longtime fan of Rustic Bakery. The chicken sriracha sandwich is my absolute favorite! Beware, weekends can be very busy so ordering ahead is always a good option. Their pastries are fantastic but can sell out quickly on a weekend morning. There is both inside and outside dining so you can sit and enjoy your food. Due to the location, finding a restaurant place to park in the lot can be a bit challenging. However, it is well worth it to stop and have some delicious food.

They must be under new management because the quality of the pastries have changed as well as the sizes of the coffee. The pastries now have a grainy and hard consistency as if they’ve been over cooked. In regards to the coffee sizes, the smaller is significantly smaller than what it used to be – it is now the size of a pup-cup or a children’s hot chocolate (photos attached, small by itself and then small next to a large). That was $ 4.50 for that small of a cup – the coffee wasn’t even good, it was just okay. Spend your money wisely and go to the Equator in downtown Larkspur, they actually have good coffee and give it to you in a decent size. It’s really disappointing that this Rustic Bakery – which is a staple of Larkspur Landing is going down the drain.

We visited this place around lunchtime on a Saturday. It was crowded, and we had to wait. The atmosphere was good. We had cheddar scallion scone, cinnamon puff, and avocado toast with farm egg. The breads was tasty.

Grabbed a meal to go. Grilled cheese and ham with soup. I’m not normally a fan of black bean soup, but theirs was pretty darn good. And the bread was great! Great option for a rainy afternoon.

Blaring music at 9 am requiring us to speak loudly to each other just to figure out our order? We came to have a nice breakfast and enjoy our morning. Kinda hard to do that when you can’t even hear yourself think. We got a to go coffee and went elsewhere. BTW…your coffee is over-roasted, bitter garbage for $4 a cup. I took one sip and poured it in the bushes. Expensive fertilizer.

Just not happy with this particular one. Yes the pastries at Rustic are good. But the service was awful (as it was over the winter, too). The shelves were empty, my friends sandwich order was wrong and took a long time, and it’s not very clean. Too bad, it could be such a nice spot.

Been coming to Rustic Bakery for a long time and have always enjoyed it. Great bread, sandos, and salads. However the quality of the operation has declined over the last year. I hope they recognize this and will work on bringing the quality back up.
