I really wanted to love this spot because the atmosphere is great. The staff are incredibly nice and personable—you can tell it’s a dedicated family-run business, and meeting them was a highlight of the visit.
Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite hit the mark for me this time. I ordered the peanut butter burger; the flavor was alright, but the buns were overly toasted, which made it a bit difficult to enjoy. Additionally, the fries felt like they were a bit lower quality than I was expecting.
I truly appreciate the wonderful service and the friendly faces, but the meal itself just wasn’t quite there. I’m sorry to say it, but I’d love to see the kitchen match the high standard set by the front-of-house team.

Stopped at Divide for the carwash, stopped and turned at the intersection and wifey made the comment of what smells so good?? After washing the vehicle, made our way down the hill to Russ’s place! After some research, I realized that the building had been uplifted in color and vividness on the outside! We ordered a pink burger and a.swiss mushroom burger, both off of the menu served with choice of fries. Their beer selection was very ample and supportive of the local/area brewmasters! Nice touch! The burgers were grilled perfectly, juicy and just a hint of char grill flavor– not overdone! The waitress as we as the staff are very cordial, visitive! And willing to l share some very fun life stories!.Will return definitely! So highly recommended

Everything is great in Russ’s place, the food is delicious, the experience and the service. I recommend the Cowboy D hamburger, the hand battered mushrooms and any of their creative special hamburgers. I highly recommend it if your passing through Divide.

Homemade buns for your choice of burger. They have daily specials and other options as well, if burgers are not for you. Great service! Locally owned business. Nice selection of beer on tap and full service bar. Stop by and check Russ’s Place out for yourself.

First time here, food was delicious. Cooked just perfect. We had the specialty cheddar bacon avocado burger, the combination of the bread and the avocado made the burger very tasty, you couldn’t even tell if the bacon was salty. It is a 10. If in Cripple Creek try it out.

Was suggested by a local the onion rings were to die for great place to enjoy lunch outside seating of course weather was beautiful. Food was very good. Server was polite and helpful.

I wanted to love this place. Great location, staff are super friendly but the burger was just not great… It reminded me of a backyard burger from the guy that can’t really grill. A bit over cooked, bun was too big, onions too think and loaded with sauce.
I’d return to support this local spot but I know what I’m getting the next time around.
