This location of Russo’s Pizzeria is clearly meant for takeout, but it does so quite well. I got a veggie pizza fairly early in their day, and it was ready as soon as I got there. Their staff seemed friendly, and the cost was pretty standard for a 16” pizza. The crust was crispy with a little bit of chew, and they didn’t skimp on toppings at all. The veggie pizza was covered with different vegetables and the different peppers and olives gave it a little bit. The sauce was not too sweet while being a tad tangy. Overall, it was quite a good pizza and I’d definitely recommend their takeout.

Really want to give this place a better rating, because when you get what you ordered it can actually be really good food. Been coming here for pizza and dinners on and off for several years because we live in the area but unfortunately food quality is always hit and miss at this location. The service is always good but they seem to have a problem with special instructions and often do not cook the food as ordered. For instance my wife and I ordered a 14″ deluxe well done -which to anyone means cooked longer- and the below photo is what we got. The center of the pie isn’t even cooked and the veggies are still raw. Cheese barely even melted and not one brown spot on the whole pie (after ordering it well done!) This is not the first time I’ve ordered a well done pie from here here and got the same result – an undercooked pizza. I also asked them to add garlic butter and parmesan cheese to the crust – because their crust is generally very plain and bland. I was told ok, and then it never got added to the crust. So unfortunately we have stopped ordering from here again for awhile… There’s a different local pizza joint 10 minutes east down 142nd…

The food was great! The deluxe pizza had the perfect amount of sauce on it, with great flavor. The breadsticks with mozerella cheese were my favorite! They had tons of parmesan and cheese. We also got a garlic parmesan ranch with our food, and it was delicious! It complimented the pizza and breadsticks really well.

Not the same family atmosphere or service. Employees are rude. On top of that you try to order a 16” pizza and they say oh we can’t do that we’re out of those. Instead of a 16” pizza I tried to order a 14” pizza and then they told me they were out of ham. When the owner used to be there regularly it was the best pizza and service in town. It’s a bunch of rude kids that run the place now and don’t care one bit about the customer. I have had multiple bad experiences at this take out pizza joint since the owners are never there and management won’t do anything about it. If you want good Russo’s service and the family owned and operated feel you have to go to Hopkins. I have lived 5 minutes down the road from this location for 9 years and I will never ever order here again!

Having had pizza from about 44 of the lower 48 states, it’s safe to say that I have tried many different brands and types of pizza. I can honestly say that is by far some of the pizza I’ve ever had. It starts with the dough they use for sure. The crust it makes is awesome and the sauce definitely compliments it. With your choice of toppings to choose from, you will not be disappointed. Anybody that has had this pizza knows what I’m talking about. Also, definitely try the cheese sticks. You won’t be disappointed. Try it out today if already haven’t

Ordered birthday dinner and had a small mishap with a sub- called to address it and they gladly remade the order and delivered it without issue, entirely pleased with our meals- Philly sub, pizza, and Chicken Parmesean! You can never beat a true family style real pizzeria but getting to know the ENTIRE Russo’s family and seeing how they make everyone part of their family makes it even better. We LOVE the Hopkins location, so tried Burnips sinceit’s closer to home and you can’t sit in a restaurant right now anyway. It was awful. We asked for garlic toast with cheese but got bread sticks, and asked for green olives on the pizza but got green pepper. We called to let them know and she hung up on me. Such a disappointing birthday dinner. ☹
