GREAT food. Fun atmosphere. Just really tiny so hard to get a seat. Server TRAVIS is awesome! Recommend a stop amd the main dining room has same/similar menu so food comparable. Only 4 seats at the bar and 7 tables. Of 4 or less. So-with the wait great views too

Loved the lodge atmosphere with windows that faced Lake McDonald. The staff was kind and very helpful. This is a great location to relax along the “going to the sun road.” Food was pretty good but limited in variety. Everyone in our family enjoyed the visit!

We ate here a few times throughout our stay. We had breakfast twice and dinner once. The price was a little steep, and the food was okay. The atmosphere and servers made up for it most of the time though. One of our servers in particular was super friendly, told us about his favorite day hikes in the park, where he was originally from and how he likes working in the park system. It’s worth going in for a meal just for the experience.

The waitress went out of her way to help and customize the pasta and to my surprise, it even had some kick to it! Food was fresh and tasty.

An enjoyable place to eat and take a break during a day in Glacier National Park. The food was pretty good, with a few standouts. In particular, the huckleberry pie paired with a scoop of huckleberry ice cream was fantastic.

The food was delicious. The service, however, was one of the worst experiences I have had in a long time. It started with an attitude from the host, who seemed highly annoyed that I was to ask if they sold the burgers at dinner. Then once sitting at the table, it took our server a long time to even greet us. At first, I was giving her the benefit of the doubt: it was hot, and she seemed to have three other tables besides us, but as the meal went on, she would entirely skip our table to go to the tables beside us, asking them if we needed more drinks, how the food was if we needed anything, etc. I had to tell the busboy what we needed because our waitress did not care to give us the time of day. Then after putting my card down for ten minutes, with her walking by our table several times, I had to flag her down to come to take it.

We had lunch there today and the food was exceptional. I had the elk burger. My wife and my sister both had the Trailhouse burger. The huckleberry aioli was really unique. Kim was our server and she made our meal a delight. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. Kim really made the experience a fun one!

WOW! This was a highlight meal of our trip. We went for the dinner buffet and assumed it would be out the wazoo $$$ and low quality food. The food was great and the cost was only $30/person! We were ecstatic. And ate way too much food and dessert after a day full of hiking. This meal put me in a nap!

Recommended by Red Bus driver. Had a large group of people in our party. Served by an older gentlemen (wish I could remember his name) who took our orders, served in a very reasonable time, and made no mistakes. No complaints from anyone in the group. Good food, great atmosphere.
