Called in at 5pm on Friday, December 12th to place a rather large order. Line went straight to voicemail. I left a message and after 30 minutes, didn’t get a call back. I called back and it went to voicemail again, and then told me to order online. That is kind of hard to do at night driving down Hwy 72. I then called back 5:49pm and someone picked up the phone. The lady on the phone said they were too busy to answer the phone and had a full grille. She said I should have ordered online. I told her that is kind of hard to do while driving down the highway at night. I wondered since they supposedly had a full grille, how would they cook my food whether I placed an order online or not? The lady was rude and talked over the top of me during our conversation. I was about to place a $90 order. I guess they don’t need my money. It is ridiculous that a place charges this much and has no service or phone manners. This would have been my first time ordering from this place. Needless to say, I won’t ever make my first or any other order from here. Customer service has really fallen off everywhere and this place is no exception. I ordered a $75 order from the Dinner Bell instead. It was superb and they took my order expediently. At least they have someone on duty to answer calls. It is pitiful for Russell’s to charge what they do and not answer a phone call. The first impression is the most important and you won’t get another opportunity.

First-timer at Russell’s Beef House. They have the beef!

Short wait tonight, but this is a popular spot. You walk in and the grill is to your right, flaming and Smokey! The fryer is next to that and the bread toasting station.

Get seated, order your non-alcoholic drinks and hit the salad bar.

Fresh lettuce, chopped ham, diced, boiled eggs, baby corn!, and the other usual salad toppers. Homemade dressing and the 1,000 island is excellent. Finish with a scoop of bacos! This is the salad you ate in your Childhood!!

Tender filets, large ribeyes, a special sirloin for two or one. The steak are cooked to your temperature. Rare=rare, medium=perfect…
They are seasoned and sizzling.

They have their homemade steak sauce in a squeeze bottle on the table and A-1 and Bobs.

The fries are hand cut and piled high. The baked potatoes are good and come with an ice cream scoop of butter and sour cream. The sautéed mushrooms are good.

The toasted bread is buttery, garlic goodness.

Great, friendly service. Tea and soft drinks to drink. The grill is not in the back of the kitchen, it’s in the front of the restaurant.

Really
Good
Steak.

I was traveling for work and ended up in Corinth, MS. I have been in the area before, but never really explored the town. I was at another establishment in the city and was told of this steakhouse. It was a must. From the very second you walk through the doors, you get that old school steakhouse vibe. It’s warm and inviting, in the best way possible. The open flame, the sizzling of the steak (and chicken) the bell hanging over the grill, and the cooks working shoulder to shoulder over the old school brick pit is all a part of the experience. The entire restaurant was full yet I was waited on in a very timely manner. I ordered a ribeye and added on a chicken breast, a trip to the salad bar and a mushroom / onion mixture. Everything was delicious. The salad bar hosted a variety of options to choose from. It was all fresh! The steak and chicken had a wonderful flavor, likely from their “secret” sauce kept nearby the grill they later on the meat but also from the charcoal smoldering underneath the meat. Both meats I ordered were very high quality. I was highly impressed with every aspect of this restaurant. The whole staff was pleasant and went above and beyond to deliver a great experience. I didn’t get any photos of my food inside, but I ordered to go the day before and snapped a to go order. If you appreciate the kind of place that keeps it old school and authentic, Russel’s is a place to stop. For me, it is a destination restaurant. I will most certainly be back in the near future and bring some others with me. I can’t speak highly enough of this restaurant.

First time ever visiting this restaurant and it was an all around, horrible experience! My party of 4 of was told to sit wherever and we waited 30+ minutes (in a pretty much empty restaurant) until a waitress finally showed up to take our drink orders. Ordered the steak for 2, and it was absolutely disgusting, the meat tasted ruined and smelled of a very bad odor. Steak wasn’t edible, so we settled for garlic bread and the salad bar.

Best steak I’ve had in a long time, got a 4oz breast as an add-on that was full of flavor.
No frills, just good food at a fair price.
Drove over 50 miles to try it and was not disappointed and will probably make it a monthly trip.

If you’re looking for a Texas size stake, Russell’s is the place to be. Cooked just the way you want it. There may be a slight wait on Saturday night, but well worth it.
The stake for two is the best deal.

The down side is the position of the salad bar which is right by the front door. You also pay your bill on the same counter that prepared food is being placed for the servers. If you’re sensitive to odors, you may ask not to be seated in front of the restrooms.
Next time we are in the area, we will be back.
Enjoy.o
