Rushing Trading Co. will forever be that brunch spot for me — my go‑to in Johns Creek and honestly one of my favorites anywhere. We’ve been coming here since their original Sugar Hill location, and they’ve never missed. The food, the drinks, the vibe… everything is consistently amazing.
On our most recent visit, I ordered the Rushing Griddle, and wow — it’s a whole experience. Imagine French toast hugging Swaggerty’s sausage, egg, and Irish cheddar, all drizzled with just enough maple syrup to make every bite sweet, savory, and unforgettable. I paired it with their creamy 3‑cheese grits, which are basically comfort in a bowl.
My husband went for the Southern Shrimp & Grits, and it was perfection: big, juicy gulf shrimp over those same dreamy grits, with andouille sausage, sweet corn, and a tomato gravy that has just the right amount of kick. We also shared the Banana Pudding French Toast — stuffed with cream cheese and bananas, topped with walnuts and caramel. It’s indulgent in the best possible way.
For drinks, my husband loved the Breakfast Old Fashioned (Kentucky bourbon, bourbon maple syrup, 1821 Earl Grey bitters, and a dirty cherry). I went for the hot chocolate — dark chocolate, Madagascar vanilla, and whipped cream — and it tasted like a hug in a mug.
Portions here are generous, so we took leftovers home and enjoyed them all over again later. Everyone in our group loved their meals, which is no surprise — I’ve never had a bad dish here. Yes, there can be a wait on weekends, and yes, it’s a little pricier than your average brunch spot, but the quality, creativity, and flavor make it absolutely worth it.
Rushing Trading Co. is a must‑try if you love brunch with personality, flavor, and consistency. This place never disappoints.

Everything about RTC is excellent — the food was plentiful and delicious. The service was impeccable (thanks to our server Christian) and the atmosphere was on target. We’ll def be back!
I had the Lumberjack Special and my wife had the Bluegrass Benny. Both were excellent.

This place is absolutely a cut above the rest. This isnt just a breakfast or brunch place, its elevated beyond that with a series of unique combinations of flavors and textures. We truly enjoyed the presentation of the food and the extra it took to make things appetizing and visually presentable. Alexis was a great service to us today. She was kind and patient and took extra care to show us additional coffees. The barista was also very knowledgeable and explains how certain coffees pair better with specific milks. Overall, the experience was very unique. I appreciated having plenty of vegetarian options and the customizability of the menu and we loved the calming and modern esthetics! We definitely will be back to try more.

Love this new location. It’s a larger space with additional menu items. All of the biscuits are delicious. The kids like the options on the kids menu. The seasonal coffee drinks are great too. Portions are a nice size. Service is always good.

Pros: my matcha latte was good and the vibe is really cute. I could see myself coming here to work—but unfortunately, the food is terrible.
Cons: Our food was awful. The toast dish I ordered was flavorless. My husband’s ham was so tough he couldn’t cut it, let alone it eat. The grits were cold and bland. The biscuits were gummy and glutinous. We ended up leaving without eating. I don’t know how this place has good reviews. I’m not in the habit of leaving reviews at all, but I wanted to warn people.

Update- In town for a weekend event, and stopped by. Biscuits and gravy still the best menu option in my opinion. Tried the Rushing Benedict and wasnt a huge fan of the ham. Family members who had the various French toast dishes raved. Hot chocolate was also a big hit.
Popped in here for a late brunch. We were in a small hurry and expressed that to our waitress. She recommended some dishes that would be quickly prepared. Beginners biscuit and hunters biscuit were so good. We fought over the mini brown sugar biscuits. But the winning dish was the biscuits and gravy. Seriously, one of the best biscuits and gravy I’ve ever had. Highly recommend this place.

Yesterday we ate at the Sugarhill location. Today we decided to try out the new location in Johns Creek. Little bit of a different vibe, but it’s just as awesome. Our server‘s name was Shelby and she was incredibly nice and informative about what to eat. But with that said, chose to get the same thing that we got yesterday. I got the Saint Michelle and It was delicious. The only difference was I added their cheesy grits and those things would make me come back just for those. Best of luck to this small business. They really have nailed everything perfectly.
Thank you again to Shelby, you did a great job.

I love it! I’m a regular at the Sugar Hill location. I visited the new John’s Creek location and it was lovely. Rin was the server and she took great care of us. The food was delicious. They have a larger menu than the other location. Bottomless mimosas are a must have. Plenty of parking available. They were busy but not crowded on a Sunday late morning.

This is a SNEAKY healthy restaurant. Lots of organic options. Everything tasted SOOOOO fresh and non chemically (we got the turkey BLT) which normally entails chemically tasting turkey and bacon, but not at all.
The cilantro aioli they put on the sandwich is super light and refreshing, if they didn’t close at 3 we would’ve came back for dinner.
This is easily one of our new favorite brunch spots, especially if you’re not looking for a super heavy American meal.
Also the matcha latte and cold brew are outstanding!

This is a must go to restaurant!! Not only is the food delicious, it is locally sourced. From the drinks to the sides to main dishes, this was a truly 5-star experience. It must be managed incredibly well because the staff members and service is amazing too! I will definitely be back
