If you are looking for a lively, fun bar and grill…this is your place. The service is pretty good, and the pours are strong. It’s definitely a place to get your drink on. I got the triple smash burger, which overall was pretty good. I would have ranked it higher if it had been seasoned better, and was juicier. That’s one of the tricks to a really good smash burger…getting that crust while remaining juicy. Overall, I would recommend this place.

Heads up:
1. they have a 3% surcharge if you pay with credit card as well as other taxes (see pic)
2. very steep stairs with no elevator – it’s a very old building and smells like it

The pretzel appetizer was the best thing we had but the honey mustard dipping sauce tasted like salad dressing. Tater tots ($2 upgrade from chips) were oily and had no taste so they were likely the frozen bag kind. Philly “sandwich” looked like a burrito (see pic) and also flavorless.

Service is where this place shines. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive and she would be one of the reasons we’d come back to Rush, for the service, beer and watching the Colts, but definitely not for the food. Eat beforehand!

Great Chicago tavern-style menu with excellent burgers, dogs, and Italian beef. The spicy cheese curds are also a regular treat of ours and they are, surprisingly, actually kind of spicy!

My only complaint, really, is the men’s restroom also doubles as an emergency fire exit so therefore the main door can never be locked. There is only one toilet in there, behind a half-wall with no door, and provides little to no privacy.

Also note that climbing stairs is a requirement to reach the restaurant which is located on the second level.

All in all, a great place – especially if you’re in the mood for some Chicago-style eats in an appropriately themed local establishment.

Visited this place on sunny Saturday afternoon in February. Located in downtown Zionsville, the entrance to this place is small but once you are upstairs, it is good sized restaurant. Ambience is cozy and super casual. Tables are kind of closer to each other and on a typical busy day, it might feel congested to people like me.
We ordered veggie burger with chips and Buffalo chicken salad. The portion size of the meal was good. Salad was as normal salads are. But veggie burger was made fresh and delicious. It did not feel like a frozen store bought patty and had a distinct flavor to it. Our server was great. She was super busy with serving multiple tables in packed restaurant but checked on us to make sure we are enjoying our meal. Overall our experience was good. Parking is but tricky in that place. Given it was month of February, still we had to park far from this place.

Great place to grab a drink with friends. The Chicago theme is fun and there are plenty of TVs to watch sports. Pretty large range of drink options. It can be a little loud at times though. Clean restrooms and free WiFi.

We went today just to have drinks but we usually go there if we are around Zionsville, food is always very good and service is always great too. Today our waitress was Madison, she was very friendly and nice.

The corned beef is amazing. They make their own potato chips. No one does that anymore. A great place for lunch or to hang out and have a few after work. Love the chi town vibe

We turned up on a Friday night of Memorial Day weekend which also happens to be Indy 500 weekend and probably about 6 graduations too. Needlessly to say – it was busy. Not a problem here though as we were seated immediately. Enjoyed some burgers and nachos while TV’s all around played all the playoff hockey and basketball games. Later it turned into karaoke night which involved various talent levels and tastes but hey, everyone had a good time.

Update: don’t go to a Chicago style place and order tacos. Burgers and Da Beef and still good. Tacos not so much. Soggy and fell apart and little flavor. Old review: Very good, very large, burger. LOVE Da Beef! And the best house chips I’ve had to date. So yummy!

I live smack dab between Rush On and Rush Off Main, and they’re both great but On Main has a far more charming atmosphere. The food and beer are always good, and the service always great. You can’t go wrong with anything, but da sausage and their take on the philly are my current favorites.
