Runza Restaurants Serving real food requires a real commitment. It all begins bright and early each morning. Instead of serving breakfast, we’re making homemade bread dough from scratch. We’re hand-slicing onions. We’re shredding lettuce for our salads. We’re stirring up homemade chili and fresh ground beef filling for Runza® Sandwiches. It’s a labor-intensive process that doesn’t let up until long after closing time. We know there are easier ways to do all this, but our commitment to doing things the right way is as real as our food, and that’s not something we’re going to change.

The food at Runza, regardless of which one I go to, is always hot and delicious. That first onion ring bite is awesome! I usually do drive-through because I’m on the road for job.

Every single time I go through the gering runza, my food is NEVER fresh. Like it’s been sitting out for a while! This place isn’t cheap either! But even i go to the scottsbluff runza, it’s 100% better. Fresh every time. Don’t know if they need new management at the gering one but it SUCKS

With all the recent rumble about Runza, and finding ourself driving through Nebraska on our vacation, we just had to stop in.
FOOD & DRINK: The eponymous sandwich was quite tasty. The crinkle-cut fries were a bit overdone. The onion rings were cornmeal-coated and okay. Standard fountain drinks, plus special flavored lemonades.
SERVICE: Friendly and fast.
AMBIANCE: This store was very clean, despite the large volume of customers.
NET-NET: In a world of fast foods, we’ll likely choose Runza (when we have a choice).

We had never tried a Runza before. The service was very friendly, helpful and patient with us as first-time guests with no clue what a runza sandwich was. The onion rings were very tasty, and the Swiss and mushroom runza sandwich was equally good. We really enjoyed our meal and would definitely visit again.

As much as ice cream cones cost, there should be ice cream down inside the cone not just a couple layers on the top. Never had an ice cream cone before they didn’t have ice cream down in the comb but here that’s the way they do it

First time in Gering and I live in Texas so when I saw a Runza I had to stop (Nebraska native). The food was perfectly cooked tonight! So kudos to the people in the back. The girl up front was friendly and knowledgeable.
You seriously cannot go wrong choosing a Runza, Burger or a salad. The onions rings and fries are incredible. The kids meals are an amazing value as well. They even get a free cone or dish of soft serve. Keep it for next time if they’re full.
The floor was a little dirty and had some spills. The men’s bathroom could use attention.
