Runza Restaurants Serving real food requires a real commitment. It all begins bright and early each morning. Instead of serving breakfast, we’re making homemade bread dough from scratch. We’re hand-slicing onions. We’re shredding lettuce for our salads. We’re stirring up homemade chili and fresh ground beef filling for Runza® Sandwiches. It’s a labor-intensive process that doesn’t let up until long after closing time. We know there are easier ways to do all this, but our commitment to doing things the right way is as real as our food, and that’s not something we’re going to change.

Went for lunch with colleges and they tried the “Runza” which reminds me of the grinder type sandwiches with ground sausage and spices. I had the buffalo grilled chicken and it was very good. I would recommend that meal however, the coworkers had stated that the Runza was too greasy and not enjoyable. Price is right and not far from the Holiday Inn Express. Busy at lunch time and service was good to go!

When we went through the drive through to place multiple orders in the car we were cut off and told we couldn’t place a third order which was just a drink, they said it was policy when we called and at the window but when she went inside to order because they told us to DRIVE BACK AROUND TO ORDER AGAIN, no one that she talked to said that it was policy and responded to her saying why she was in there that it was “weird” not that it was in fact their policy.

Ordered online. Picked up order and all 6 employees were happy and smiles. Got home and found Runzas were so old and hard from sitting under a heat lamp all day or days they were terrible.
Everyone was so disappointed, we threw them in the trash and went somewhere else for supper. We’ll never use 2nd street Runza again.

The shake and fries are decent, the girl taking our order was a little out of it. The food was quick and made perfectly, we had a lot of modifications.
The reason I grade so low today is because this place is a hot mess, the “manager” on duty made it clear he was under qualified to be there alone and keep saying his boss was in Florida on vacation, he couldn’t not give refunds and just didn’t seem to know how to help at all. The food was sub par, and maybe it was the whole town hyping it up? Or maybe I’m just to picky for a soggy meat pie. ♀️

I grew up in Hastings, NE … and now live +/- 100 miles away and when we get up to Nebraska, we like to pick up some Runza’s ..
Usually I’d give a 5-star review, however, when going through the drive-thru, placed my order (6-Original and 5-Swiss Mushroom Runza’s), put the bag in the back seat and when I arrived at home (+/- 100 miles away), found I was shorted 3 Runza’s, there should have been 11 Runza’s total and there were only 8.
Can’t complain about the Runza’s we did get, but to pay over $70 for Runza’s to take home, get home and find out you’ve been shorted was infuriating, and it’s not like I can just drive down the street to have the order corrected, we live about 100 miles away.

We stopped in on our way to Texas to buy a dozen Runzas to take to our Grandson. He requested ine….we decided he needed some for later, too.
Everyone was so nice and so patient answering all my questions when they brought us the box of frozen Runzas, she explained everything we could do with the preparation and showed us the product
