Social Profile:

Runza Restaurants Serving real food requires a real commitment. It all begins bright and early each morning. Instead of serving breakfast, we’re making homemade bread dough from scratch. We’re hand-slicing onions. We’re shredding lettuce for our salads. We’re stirring up homemade chili and fresh ground beef filling for Runza® Sandwiches. It’s a labor-intensive process that doesn’t let up until long after closing time. We know there are easier ways to do all this, but our commitment to doing things the right way is as real as our food, and that’s not something we’re going to change.

Fast-food chain known for namesake German sandwiches, plus burgers, onion rings & crinkle-cut fries.

I had a good experience here overall. The service was pleasant and efficient, and everything moved quickly even during a busy period. The dining area is large with plenty of seating, which made it easy to find a place to sit without feeling crowded.

The restroom was mostly clean, which I always appreciate when traveling. Another big plus is the convenient location right by a Tesla Supercharger, making it an easy and practical stop if you need to charge and grab a bite at the same time.

A solid, reliable option with friendly service and good convenience.

This is by far the largest Runza I have visited! We had a not-so-pleasant experience recently at another location, but I am pleased to say, this visit was great. We were waited on quickly, our Sweet Berry Chicken Salads came out fast (and were great!). Everything was clean too. Maybe the folks in Omaha can get some pointers!

Runza in Kearney has always been a great place to stop for higher than average quality fresh hamburgers and runza sandwiches. But recently we were disappointed by the cold hamburgers and twice cooked burnt French fries we got from their drive through. We hope it gets better…

Tried our first Runza sandwich at the location at 815 2nd Ave E in Kearney today. It was excellent and so was the service. Cameron waited on us and provided amazing service. He’s a great employee and proud of the product he sells. It’s nice to see that! Kudos

Never heard of a Runza before.
The Runza is a beef and seasoned cabbage hogie type sandwich which comes in several varieties. No cheese, cheese or mushroom. The flavor of the Runza reminded me of a white castle burger with cabbage added. I really enjoyed trying it out.
We also got a bacon cheeseburger. The flavor of the burger remined me of a old carhop restaurant in my hometown. Took me back. It was yummy. Would get both again.
The vanilla shake had a perfect flavor, but it was hard to drink at first because it was so thick.
I really appreciated the “frings” (fries and onion rings mixed) as a side option because I have a hard time deciding which to get sometimes. The onion rings were salty and crunchy. Really good. Crinkle cut fries were good and crispy but needed salt IMO.
Over all was really fun to try something new. Would go back.

I’ve waited over a week for a refund in the mail. It was UNK graduation day. Went thru the drive thru. On way back to Home. 2 hour drive. Was over charged for a drink I didn’t receive or ordered. Called manager. He Wanted us to turn around and get a refund. I said that’s ridiculous. It could have been taken care of before even driving away. He then took our name and address after being extremely rude and said he would send us a refund. I knew he wasn’t going to follow through on his offer. This sort of thing had happened before with Runza. And they act like the customer is wrong. No integrity . Rude. Blatant thievery. Clean up your act Runza..

Solid Midwest establishment! If you’ve never ate at a runza and you like fast food, don’t pass on this place. The runza are my favorite. Whether you get the mushroom Swiss, original, or American, you won’t be disappointed. I always get extra onions on mine. Also, FRINGS! Onion rings and fries, together forever ❤️❤️ always a treat when passing through here. This particular runza is the nicest one I’ve been to. Great facility.

Traveling through Nebraska we saw the Runza signs. We looked up what a Runza was and decided to stop. They reminded me of what we called “bierocks.” The woman behind the counter was helpful and friendly while answering our questions and taking our order. The Runza was excellent as were the onion rings and fries. I wish we had a Runza in eastern Iowa.

I wish I had stopped at a Runza before I tried this one. These things are good! Kind of a loose meat sandwich in freshly baked bread. Nicely seasoned too. Good prices and a friendly staff. I’ll be sure to stop next time I’m going through that part of that country.
