Runza Restaurants Serving real food requires a real commitment. It all begins bright and early each morning. Instead of serving breakfast, we’re making homemade bread dough from scratch. We’re hand-slicing onions. We’re shredding lettuce for our salads. We’re stirring up homemade chili and fresh ground beef filling for Runza® Sandwiches. It’s a labor-intensive process that doesn’t let up until long after closing time. We know there are easier ways to do all this, but our commitment to doing things the right way is as real as our food, and that’s not something we’re going to change.
Fast-food chain known for namesake German sandwiches, plus burgers, onion rings & crinkle-cut fries.

I doubt I’ll be returning.
Don’t sleep on the rest of the menu, though. The crinkle-cut fries are perfectly crispy and salty, a fantastic side for any sandwich. But the real showstopper for many is the Frings, a delightful combination of french fries and onion rings that’s an absolute must-try. And let’s not forget the milkshakes—they’re thick, creamy, and a perfect way to end your meal. The staff is always friendly and the service is quick, making it a reliable and enjoyable spot for a quick lunch or a family dinner. Runza isn’t just a fast-food joint; it’s a Nebraska tradition that delivers on flavor and comfort every single time.
The original runza I had was perfect. Fries were hot and nice and salty.
Love the value shakes.
Yummy food. Great fries and drinks, including cold tea.
Love that there’s a few veggies options.
Awesome staff.
During this season of COVID-19, I’ve had to do a lot of dining or picnicking in my car with so many restaurant lobbies being closed. But it hasn’t stopped the drive throughs of those same places from serving patrons that want to keep people working.
Trying an original Runza was a first for me at the insistence of my co-worker. Why did I listen to her? Now I’m hooked! In fact, when I told the clerk that this was my first visit, he assured me that I would be back and he was right. The bread is so soft and flavorful and the meat stuffing addicting. As I was told, you have to try the sandwich with ranch dressing. It takes the flavor up another notch.
Overall:This sandwich is filling on its own. If you have a big appetite try the Runa meal that comes with fries (so good) and a drink.
