Runza Restaurants Serving real food requires a real commitment. It all begins bright and early each morning. Instead of serving breakfast, we’re making homemade bread dough from scratch. We’re hand-slicing onions. We’re shredding lettuce for our salads. We’re stirring up homemade chili and fresh ground beef filling for Runza® Sandwiches. It’s a labor-intensive process that doesn’t let up until long after closing time. We know there are easier ways to do all this, but our commitment to doing things the right way is as real as our food, and that’s not something we’re going to change.

Just had lunch at the Yankton Runza and honestly… it made my day! The drive-through was incredibly fast, but what really stood out was the cashier at the window -she was bubbly, kind, and genuinely welcoming. That kind of energy matters, and it shows. The food was absolutely delicious, comforting, and hit the spot perfectly. And the RANCH…so incredibly good it deserves its own shoutout. Left with a full stomach and a better mood. Thank you for such a great experience!

I love Runza but there are none in North Dakota, so I always try to find one when I travel south. I was so happy to discover the Runza in Yankton. The woman that took my order was very friendly–I don’t remember her name, but she was great. The Runza sandwiches were hot, perfectly browned and just the way I remember them. I’ll definitely stop there again.

This was my first time in a Runza Restaurant. I live in Pennsylvania and in South Dakota for business. The spicy Runza is the best sandwich I have ever had. The service was spectacular and the young woman who took my order is absolutely amazing in her customer service skills and wonderfully positive attitude. Five stars is not enough to rate this experience and I will return on my next trip to South Dakota!

Was coming through the Yankton area and they are the closet Runza that we got. And they close at 10pm it was 9:36 when we called and we wouldn’t get there until 9:55. So we called and asked if it would to late and they were more than happy to make us a meal and wait for us.

Love eating at Runza but was disappointed with this one. Came in for supper with family at 7:30 pm and they had 2 Runzas and was going to be at least 25 minutes wait before they had more ready. If wanted burgers would have gone to Burger King, but also be like them being out of burgers and having to wait 25 minutes to make more. ♂️. Smothered chicken was really greasy

My husband and i stopped in after a trip to the box store near by. We both got the spicy jack burger, onion rings and a drink. My goodness they weren’t kidding when they said they have the best burgers in town!!!! I couldn’t eat all mine so the husband took over for me. I can’t wait to come back. I’ve always loved the runzas and now I have a second love!!! Also onion rings with the homemade buttermilk ranch were also fantastic!!!

I’ll start with Matt at the counter friendly and professional! The strawberry shake was awesome easily the best shake from a chain store hands down! The sandwich was good fries and onion rings also good, did I mention the strawberry shake though! We LOVE Runza!! Born and raised in Nebraska and haven’t lived there in 9 years. So whenever we come “home” we stop at a Runza if one is close by. We were happy to see a Runza in Yankton on our way through town.
Drive thru was not busy. Employees were friendly. Food was delicious! Kids meals are a great value and my kids always say how good it is to order a food item, receive it and have it look like the pictures posted!! Please don’t ever lose the quality of the food!! It’s amazing!
