Runza Restaurants Serving real food requires a real commitment. It all begins bright and early each morning. Instead of serving breakfast, we’re making homemade bread dough from scratch. We’re hand-slicing onions. We’re shredding lettuce for our salads. We’re stirring up homemade chili and fresh ground beef filling for Runza® Sandwiches. It’s a labor-intensive process that doesn’t let up until long after closing time. We know there are easier ways to do all this, but our commitment to doing things the right way is as real as our food, and that’s not something we’re going to change.

Hadn’t eaten at a Runza in decades as I’m not from Nebraska, but wanted something local while in town. Glad I stopped in – Philly Runza was hot and tasty, as was the onion rings and fries combo. Friendly staff and clean tables.

Went on opening day. They made the drive thru longer and still had 6 cars deep on Broadway waiting to turn into the parking lot. It took a bit for food to come out because of the amount of customers. It did not disappoint and was worth the wait.

Looks like a very nice and clean location. Parking lot is small and tight, but they seem to get people in and out without too much delay or backup. Staff was extremely polite and courteous – which is so refreshing! Props to you folks for doing customer service right.
First time eating here – I know shame on me, born & raised in Omaha and decades later finally trying it out. I ordered the spicy jack runza. It was delicious – perfect amount of heat and tasted freshly made. The bread was so soft – just perfect. I wasn’t a big fan of the fries. I’m not sure if it’s what they are fried in or seasoning (appeared to just be salt) but they just tasted a little different to me.
Shakes are just okay, the chocolate had a little bitter taste to it. Not from being old, but more like the type flavoring used. The ice cream cones are RIDICULOUSLY small for the $2.40. You could have stacked so much more ice cream on those cones. We were extremely disappointed in the size. Unless you are a toddler, I recommend adults save your money & get ice cream somewhere else.
So in summary, food is fantastic – service is top notch – but stay away from the disappointment of the size of ice cream! 🙁

Double cheeseburger fries and Swiss mushroom Runza were excellent. My wife ordered a breaded chicken sandwich, they put 1 breaded chicken strip on it. 2 chicken strips cost 3.59, wife complained about it. The folks added a chicken strip and gave her a cookie. The management must be telling staff how much chicken to put on the sandwich. My complaint is the grilled chicken and the breaded chicken sandwich should have the same amount of chicken on it. It does not.

I stopped here for a quick bite around 5 pm drive through. I waited 25 minutes then went inside to ask what happened. Upon walking in the lady behind the counter snapped you’ll have to wait, we’re very busy! There were 5 people in the lobby. Mass chaos behind the line. A young male worker said he was sorry but walked in to hell and he was trying to figure it out. I stood inside 10 more minutes before they handed me the order which of course was missing something. They gave it to me and I left. That was 2 months ago. I will not give them another chance for quite awhile. It’s a shame because runzas are iconic. Unfortunately so is this kind of service

This location is always busy. That’s because it’s well maintained and the employees are friendly. Love those onion rings dipped in the homemade ranch! Others say the loose meat sandwiches are the way to go, but don’t sleep on the burgers. Yum!!

As always, the food is great. They did leave out a Runza from our take out order. Fortunately, we caught it before leaving the lot. They quickly made the missing sandwich.
Usually a missing item from an order garners 3 stars for service from me. However, they were very friendly, thus the 4 stars.
