Ordered the cheese steak, fries and mozzarella sticks. Sticks weren’t bad at all they were pretty good and had no issues. The cheese steak and fries were not the best. So the cheese steak had no flavor they had mushrooms had to come out a can straight on the sandwich no cook or anything to them. The bread was falling apart down the middle. No peppers no anything just was a disappointment. The fries are too big had 3/4 under cooked instead of a crunch or any crisp they where under cooked. Just ridiculous maybe ordered the wrong items on this night but wasn’t worth the price 34 plus bucks.

We’re a big fan of the salmon at the runway Grill, the hotel restaurant at the Doubletree SRQ. The salmon is the standup dish on the menu, and it is worth it to come to visit just to have the salmon. At $25, it is a bargain too.

I usually go out to eat when I stay in a hotel for traveling but the Runway Grill is an exception. Food was great but the service is better. Brandie and Carol make you feel welcomed and comfortable. I would recommend you try this place out.

Was told free breakfast. First day signed a check out tab for breakfast buffet. I asked the next day was that how it works. I was told no I needed a voucher for the buffet. The check in clerk failed to tell be about the vouchers.
Buffet had expired milk, difficult to eat tater tots, too moist and not warm enough. Scrambled Eggs were hard. I asked for decaf coffee and they said no, they don’t have it. I would not recommend the buffet.
Restaurant closes at 8:45 and the bar closes at 9 PM.

I met a coworker at Runway Grill before taking her to the airport to head back home. The staff was very attentive and super friendly. I ordered a grilled chicken Caesar salad (see photo), and it was delicious. I was impressed, and can see why they have great reviews. Highly recommended.

You’ll be Rudely turned away if you don’t order something by 8:30pm. I was going to order something to go, but I was never even given the opportunity before getting kicked out. They turned down other guests too. Nothing says, “Welcome to Sarasota” like that… There were A LOT of people in the restaurant as well, so it wasn’t like they weren’t busy and wanted to leave early.

Stayed at this hotel a few times. Ate at the restaurant every time. No need to leave always had a good meal. Brandie was my server she was very nice and friendly. Sandwich was very good.
