A brown bear perches in the rafters of this low-key spot serving up classic breakfasts & lunches.

FIrst time here, and a great place for breakfast. The staff is friendly and prompt. The menu had a wide range of great food options, and you will not leave hungry. I had the veggie omelette, and side of pancakes. It was hot and delicious, and our food arrived very fast.

This place was very popular and we had to wait about 20 minutes before we got a table. Once we did, it was very good food. I would definitely get pancakes here all over again. We got the cinnamon bun pancakes and they were absolutely divine. We also got the brisket breakfast burrito, which was just OK.
The staff was very warm and friendly. The place was clean and had a nice amount of character to it.

We had the blueberry pancake and fresh toast. Both were very tasty and I liked that they put the blueberries in the pancake not just as a topping. The pancakes are also larger than we expected, it was tough for 2 people to finish 3 cakes! Very generous size and good price.
We also got the hot chocolate with whipped cream and will say it’s one of the best we’ve had.

This is THE place for breakfast in West Yellowstone. Fast, friendly service. If you’re looking for sweet tea, they have it! We ate here twice on our vacation and both times the food quality and quantity was excellent. All of the staff were very welcoming and made it a great dining experience!

Finally a place that serves capuccino! We got the cinnamon stuffed pancake and french toast. I had seen reviews of the cinnamon roll and confused it with the pancake! Realized it after our order came. If you are here for the rolls, just show them a picture. The pancakes were filling and delicious. The toast & coffee were great too. We also got the hash browns but couldn’t finish them. Overall great experience.

This was our stop heading to Cody, WY. Everything we ate was absolutely delicious. I fell in love with Boysen Berry Syrup. I need a gallon of that stuff. I didn’t get pancakes but my daughter did and it was in a little blue pitcher. I ate what was left of the syrup only with my spoon.

Everything here was SO good, & the service was attentive & friendly. I had some eggs & cinnamon roll pancakes. Both were delicious, but the cinnamon roll pancakes were ahhhmazing.
My hubby had a HUGE stack of 4 pancakes & some bacon. Again, both were delicious & we had to help him finish his pancakes.
My daughter had chocolate chip pancakes & my son had eggs, bacon, & toast.
I highly recommend Running Bear for breakfast before heading over to the park.

During our week-long adventure in Yellowstone, we always make it a point to seek out local eateries, and the Running Bear Pancake House definitely caught our eye. Located in West Yellowstone, it seemed like the perfect place to fuel up for a day of exploring.
We decided to split the towering Triple Stack of pancakes as a side, and the generously portioned Grizzly Bear chicken. The original syrup that accompanied the pancakes was indeed very tasty – a classic done right! Both plates were substantial and left us feeling full.
Our little one, Bellamy, certainly enjoyed his share too!
The Snickers hot chocolate was a treat as well, adding a bit of sweetness to our breakfast. While the food arrived promptly, we did experience a slight delay in getting our drink refills. However, the overall speed of the food service was impressive.
Based on the hearty portions, delicious food, and cozy local atmosphere, we’d definitely recommend the Running Bear Pancake House for a satisfying breakfast while visiting Yellowstone. Just be prepared for potentially slightly slower drink service during busy times.
