Wonderful service, wonderful food, and a peaceful atmosphere. 10/10.
My friends and I were actually supposed to have dinner at Sushi Miroku but the staff was very rude to us so we came to Runa Izakaya instead where every single staff member we interacted with was very kind and seemed happy to have us there. I will never go to Sushi Miroku again, only Runa Izakaya. Thank you for the amazing dinner experience! ❤️

Extremely inconsistent. I ordered the same exact order one month apart (see screenshots). In the end of November when I ordered it, it was perfect. The fried rice was flavorful. The Szechuan beef was balanced and had a tiny amount of kick (spice). Like I said we ordered the same order again, last night.. the food was bad. The rice had no flavor. The Szechuan sauce this time was so sweet (almost like a bbq sauce?). The oil tasted old that the sweet n sour chicken were fried in. I have ordered here over 10 times in the past year or two but after yesterday, I will not return. Way too inconsistent. The people cooking the food need to get more aligned.

This is my go to spot for takeout. The Panang Curry is fantastic, and the potstickers are incredible. Most places have the standard frozen potstickers, but the ones here are hand made and delicious! The amount of food we can get for the price is fantastic as well, always end up with leftovers!

Nice place for good Asian fusion. They have sushi/nigiri/sashimi, some Thai, Chinese, and Korean dishes. The menu is adequate and not overwhelming. I’ve been there about four times now and the food and service have been consistent. It has felt a little rushed when it’s near closing time, which is somewhat understandable. Overall, the food has been good to very good each time I’ve visited. Prices are good and fair. The atmosphere is friendly and the decor is nice. Overall, a nice place to eat in the Tinley Park, Orland Park area.

Owen was my server, very friendly and accommodating. I had the tan tan pork ramen and chicken dumpling combo. The ramen was very well seasoned ! I wished I ordered more dumplings. The restaurant is small but somehow the perfect size. Service is speedy and friendly. I ordered from the Entree selection, and the portions are very generous… enough to feed at least 3 people. The is flavorful and great tasting.

Overall, I had a pretty pleasant experience at this restaurant. All the food was tasty and came as expected. The menu had a lot of options, and the staff was very accommodating. The price was very affordable for the type of food offered. My friend and I were very satisfied with our meals. However, I couldn’t give 5 stars as the place was pretty crowded and loud, so the ambiance was less relaxing. Additionally, my ramen had a lot more noodles than the other toppings, and it felt like it was missing some of those ingredients. However, with the price of the ramen, I can understand and still enjoyed the ramen. This place is great if you are looking for a cheap and good-quality Asian restaurant.

I understand that this place is not in the City, but a few fundamental upgrades/refinements could certainly help this place and not hinder any quality issues. With that said, my first impressions of this japanese ramen resto is a commendable 3.5⭐️s.
I have tried some really great ramen in the City like Rudys and Kyuramen and I can honestly say, that the broth in Runa Izakaya ramen bowls is very flavorful. Additionally, these are some of the lowest prices I have seen for tonkotsu or tan tan men ramen and the portions are exceptional.
However, the tonkotsu ramen noodles, at least in my bowl, was slightly undercooked and stuck together, when they should be separated in long strands. Also, the presentation of the bowls was rather haphazard and hastily put together, but service was fairly slow. Customers that ordered before me received their similar ramen ahead of me by at least 15 minutes.
Lastly, ordered the Spiderman maki roll which has soft-shell crab tempura (ssct), but the ssct was sparse and the rice and sauces overpowered its flavor. However, the price was much lower than other japanese izakayas; and so thereby reflected in the quantity and presentation of the maki roll.
Nonetheless, it was still a pleasant meal with friendly staff and owners.

My friend and I decided to go to this place randomly on a Saturday evening and i’m so glad we went! The atmosphere was so beautiful and the service was quick. My favorite was trying their Godzilla Roll, one of the best Godzilla Rolls i’ve had. I can’t wait to go back one of these days.
