Dana and Jerry Kuhn started Rumours Wine Bar from a vision that began in 2019. It first opened in 2020 as a Retail Wine Store a couple of months before the pandemic and pivoted to becoming Rumours Wine Bar in September 2020. The business continued to thrive for the next few years, winning numerous awards. Lee Ann and Patrick Gunning purchased the business in December 2024. Patrick has been in the construction industry for the past 40 years. As a child, he spent a lot of time with his Italian grandmother learning how to cook and decided to attend culinary school “for the fun of it” later in life. He is most proud of being a volunteer firefighter for over 36 years for two different fire companies. He first tasted wine at age 3 …

Wonderful intimate wine bar hidden away in a shopping center in Englewood. Features an extensive wine list, craft beers and a limited menu of delicious munchies. I enjoyed the Baked Brie and a split of Prosecco which was a heavenly combination. Staff is friendly and live music is ongoing. There was an Art Show outside while I was there so it was nice to sip and walk around with your drink or sit outside and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine! Such a cozy place…will definitely be back!

Joined their wine club through the previous owners and was told that we could “make up” the monthly tasting if we missed the original date (usually the first Saturday of the month) – January was a very busy month for us, my wife’s father passed away and she works as a radiology tech and works 12 hours shifts so our availability to do the tasting was limited – when I tried to schedule the tasting for the 29th of the month, I was told no – the employee told me that they couldn’t afford to open the wine for just one couple – even though they had another make up tasting the following day. The owner refused to give me a refund for the month ($48.15 for just me) – so I disputed the charge on my card and he rebutted it with I had the whole month to make up the tasting! Not a true statement – this guy has no clue how to run a business – so much for customer service – we will never step foot in the place again!!! Promise!!

Had a fun time at Rumours Wine Bar for trivia night with friends. Great little place to enjoy a glass of wine with friends and family. The owners are supper nice and helpful in selecting the right wine for you. Great selections in house and they even have a gift shop next door to take home a bottle for later or send to someone as a nice gift. I am sure we will be back our next trip for trivia night.

Lovely wine shop! The owner Dana was very welcoming and even set up a little wine tasting for us with “Love” wine. She called one “Romeo ” a pinot griego..and the other “Juliet” a light refreshing Rose! I choose the Rose. And it even came with a box of chocolates. Looking forward to a wine tasting there next Thursday!!

Cute and cozy local hidden gem in the big lot plaza. Stopped in for a bite to eat and had a great fruit and cheese plate with olives and got a small Moscato. Nice staff, friendly and has an artsy vibe.

Nice little wine bar. Decent place to meet friends. However, the glass price of the wines seems pretty high. I paid $13 for a Cabernet Sauvignon. It was good, though. Also, the room temperature was way too cold.

I stumbled across ( no pun intended) this adorable wine bar and shop by accident. I have to say, the staff is exceptional, and it is just a wonderful spot to drop in. A great education in energy and trying a flight was perfect!

Such a great place! The wine was amazing, service was 12/10, and the overall atmosphere was fantastic. I definitely recommend this place. You can even try the wine prior to actually purchasing 😉 I came when there was live music which was an awesome add on to my experience. Definitely add this to your list when visiting Englewood, FL!
