She stared at our ids for a good 20 minutes, im 36, and then told us we would have to wait a few hours for the kitchen to be ready. We were treated poorly the minute we walked in and noticed that it was all entirely dudes who were atleast 65 years old. The place reals of cigarettes, i wouldnt eat there if you paid me to.

Almost like a “Cheers,” atmosphere. Friendly staff. Kirstie, Danielle, Robin, Holly, Gabby, and Kelly will hook you up. They have a great porch out back so you can feel the breeze. Their wings are great and so is the app sampler.

For my 1st time visiting, everything was pretty good. I won’t give 5 stars on food, because I only had a few tater tots that a friend of mine had and shared, but they were good, so I don’t know about overall food. The service was very good and atmosphere also was very good.

My husband and I stopped into Rumors one evening and had great service. Danielle is very friendly and served us well. We did not eat on this visit but the food is pretty good. They did have live music as well which is nice.

Great food. Jam sessions every Sunday. Only thing is, you go home smelling like an ashtray because smoking is allowed. Fun place to go for live music and drinks.

Rumors is a fun little dive! Pretty nice people and quarter tables. It’s definitely a local spot, and cool if you like that kind of vibe. It’s neat! Totally recommended!
Edit:Same bunch! Don’t know why they get a bad rap. I mean what do you expect?!? It’s a ancient piece of Hixson history. Bar staff work hard, so if they come off a little short or snippy. It’s because they are ALWAYS in a hurry. Don’t listen to the people complaining about the staff.

I went there years ago for a biker event, it was awesome good food good people. Went there recently. I don’t know where to start. Rude and hateful bartender, who was not only that, but was fixing drinks with a live yes live squirrel in her pocket. How she still employed is a puzzle. The food well we never ate due to the staff wasn’t preparing it as was told for an hour and half. No toilet paper in women’s bathroom when asked was told go home if want to well just say the rest wasn’t nice. I can go on but I will just say avoid this place unless you want a trashy bar n grill with hateful staff. We left after a couple hours. We tolerate some but this was sad accuse for a bar n grill. I will never be back. Use caution

I love finding little dive bars to play pool in with my friends and Rumors has been one of my favorites in Chattanooga! The bartenders are so sweet! And the regulars are kind and entertaining! If you’re looking for a dependable bar with good service, Rumors is a good stop.
