I wanted some real food and saw they were open. I went inside and was greeted by wonderful staff. I asked if the kitchen was open at 10:30am and they said yes. So I proceeded to order the combo Beef and Chicken plate and a cup of coffee.
The food came out within 10-15 minutes, I wasn’t in a rush and it was delicious. The chicken wasn’t dry, the beef wasn’t dry, and both were seasoned well. The basmati rice and flat bread were the stars for me. As good as the meats were, the rice and bread were better. Both were fluffy and had a real savoriness to it. It was so satisfying.
The coffee was strong and dark but not bitter. It was similar to percolating coffee so the flavors were rich, deep and strong.
Overall the staff, food, and service was excellent. I’d stop here for Middle Eastern food any day.
I ordered nachos for a high school event, and what we received was completely unacceptable: overcooked, dried out, and not edible. Multiple students even asked if the food was stale. I returned the entire tray and spoke directly with the owner. Instead of addressing the problem professionally, she was rude, dismissive, and insisted the food was “good” despite clearly seeing its condition.
She claimed it was “Mediterranean nachos” — I’ll leave that to the public to judge.
There was zero accountability, no effort to fix the issue, and no compensation offered. Serving food like this for a school function is unacceptable, and the way customers are treated makes it worse.
I’m sharing this so others don’t go through the same experience.
The service was friendly and attentive, and the unique market setup inside (loved the vintage car display!) added a fun touch to the experience.
Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for great food, warm service, and an inviting atmosphere.
Called them to ask if they had bolani and a lady with soft and respectful voice said with smile : “we always have bolani available, throughout the year”. My wife and I drove there and since it was our first time there we decided to order one from each of the types they had (kado, gandana and kachalo), without any exaggeration I can tell you is that they were all so delicious that up to now, we haven’t been able to rank them lol
Thank you guys for making such authentic and delicious bolanis but here is a very humble request: DO NOT CHANGE THE COOK OR INGREDIENTS OR ANYTHING.
Unfortunately I have experienced that all Afghan restaurants are good at something initially but very soon they either get greedy and compromise on quality or keep changing their stuff and end up losing their reputation. Please don’t do that. Best of luck
