I happened upon Rumi’s Oasis while walking the Trader Joe’s shopping plaza. I dropped my car off at America’s Tire and had an hour to kill.

I wanted some real food and saw they were open. I went inside and was greeted by wonderful staff. I asked if the kitchen was open at 10:30am and they said yes. So I proceeded to order the combo Beef and Chicken plate and a cup of coffee.

The food came out within 10-15 minutes, I wasn’t in a rush and it was delicious. The chicken wasn’t dry, the beef wasn’t dry, and both were seasoned well. The basmati rice and flat bread were the stars for me. As good as the meats were, the rice and bread were better. Both were fluffy and had a real savoriness to it. It was so satisfying.

The coffee was strong and dark but not bitter. It was similar to percolating coffee so the flavors were rich, deep and strong.

Overall the staff, food, and service was excellent. I’d stop here for Middle Eastern food any day.

Do NOT order from this place — you will regret it.

I ordered nachos for a high school event, and what we received was completely unacceptable: overcooked, dried out, and not edible. Multiple students even asked if the food was stale. I returned the entire tray and spoke directly with the owner. Instead of addressing the problem professionally, she was rude, dismissive, and insisted the food was “good” despite clearly seeing its condition.

She claimed it was “Mediterranean nachos” — I’ll leave that to the public to judge.

There was zero accountability, no effort to fix the issue, and no compensation offered. Serving food like this for a school function is unacceptable, and the way customers are treated makes it worse.

I’m sharing this so others don’t go through the same experience.

We had such a wonderful experience at Rumi’s Oasis! The food was authentic, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The lamb nachos were loaded with fresh veggies, cheese, and sauce — absolutely delicious. For dessert, we enjoyed baklava, cookies, and a specialty latte, all paired perfectly with the cozy atmosphere.

The service was friendly and attentive, and the unique market setup inside (loved the vintage car display!) added a fun touch to the experience.

Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for great food, warm service, and an inviting atmosphere.

I used to buy baklava from this shop, they had the best in town. But now, their baklava is the worst I’ve ever eaten in my life. They even raised the prices instead of fixing the quality. If the taste was good, I wouldn’t mind paying extra, but it’s not — it’s just a waste of money. I’m never buying from them again.

First time here and ordering food. The food was amazing. I finally got the dubai chocolate pistachio here and they charged $11.32 for it. It was as big as a m&m pack or smaller, based on eye measurement. I’m not sure how much it cost elsewhere, but it’s not worth it for me here. The desserts were good. The service was direct, not much smiles or welcoming demeanor, they just helped when asked.

These guys are amazing!!!
Called them to ask if they had bolani and a lady with soft and respectful voice said with smile : “we always have bolani available, throughout the year”. My wife and I drove there and since it was our first time there we decided to order one from each of the types they had (kado, gandana and kachalo), without any exaggeration I can tell you is that they were all so delicious that up to now, we haven’t been able to rank them lol
Thank you guys for making such authentic and delicious bolanis but here is a very humble request: DO NOT CHANGE THE COOK OR INGREDIENTS OR ANYTHING.
Unfortunately I have experienced that all Afghan restaurants are good at something initially but very soon they either get greedy and compromise on quality or keep changing their stuff and end up losing their reputation. Please don’t do that. Best of luck

Waited 30 mins for food. Ordered a combo kabob plate and chicken kabob plate. The plates were all rice and missing kabob pieces. No utensil and no salad. Also the combo plate was missing the chicken kabob. There were no other customers waiting. But they still got my orders wrong and it took 30 mins. I try to give local places business but this was not a good experience.

I think this restaurant has potential. I have twice and enjoyed the food and hot chocolate. The wait time to get your order is unacceptable, tho. It took 25 mins to get my drink. And longer for food. It’s also unclear where to pay for things if shopping at the store vs. bakery vs. Restaurant. I’ll keep supporting them, the owner is clearly invested in the business.

It is a Persian market which has wide range of Halal products for daily needs including Halal meat, bakery, grocery, and Middle Eastern & Mediterranean cuisine. We come here mainly for the Qabuli Palau, rotisserie chicken, and the cream rolls. You sure won’t be disappointed with the flavors of these items. Apart from that, they also have mantu, pastries, cakes, baklava, and fresh-baked breads. However, a rotisserie chicken order needs to be placed at least 3-4 hours in advance since these are made only by demand. Interiors of the shop look great and it is well organized. Staff consists of only a few members and are mostly focused in the bakery section. So don’t expect a full-on service if dining in. Other than that, they are very kind and polite with their customers.

Terrible all around. Claims to be Afghan tastes nothing like it while trying to be high class with fancy presentation. Wait time is ridiculous, menu is way to large for the small kitchen they have which is the main reason food takes so long. One person will be cooking orders , taking food out, ringing customers up at the register while 3 other employees including the owner stand in the back talking. Would not recommend anyone to come here there are so many better options.
