My friends and I went to Rumi’s for dinner on Valentine’s Day night during my bestie’s bachelorette weekend in Atlanta. We had a 6pm reservation and it was so busy when we got there. A popular spot for Valentine’s Day! While the evening did not start out great since we ended up with a 30 minute wait and was not given any kinds of updates until our bride had to go talk to the manager, they really made it up to us by giving us a discount for our meal and checking in so much throughout the night. That was very kind! Our server was wonderful and was so helpful in giving us suggestions and answering all of our questions. We ended up getting our meal family style, as was the recommendation from our server, which was definitely the way to go for the group of 7 of us! We ordered the Lamb Rack, Chicken Barg, Chilean Sea Bass, Soltani Kabob, Grilled Vegetables, Roasted Tomatoes with Yogurt, Kale & Grapefruit Salad, and the Mirza Ghasemi. The server also gave us Herb Basmati Rice, Lentil & Raisin Basmati Rice, and Saffron Basmati Rice to have with the rest of our meal. I don’t drink alcohol so I got the Rumi’s Passionfruit Soda which was tart and very refreshing. The rest of the girls got many different cocktails and wine and all said they were really good! We decided not to drive to the restaurant since we had a night out after dinner planned, but just in case you do decide to drive, the restaurant has free valet so just bring some cash for a tip. There is a lot of traffic generally in that area of Atlanta so I’d plan ahead for that too if you do have a reservation with them.

Rumi’s Kitchen in Alpharetta is truly a five star experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is vibrant yet upscale, making it perfect for both a special night out and a relaxed dinner with friends. The design is beautiful, warm lighting, elegant décor, and a lively energy that makes the entire space feel welcoming.

The food is outstanding. Every dish is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The kabobs are perfectly cooked and incredibly tender, and the saffron rice is some of the best I have ever had. The appetizers and spreads are just as impressive and ideal for sharing. You can tell that a great deal of care goes into both the ingredients and preparation.

Service was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly. The staff took time to make recommendations and ensured everything was perfect throughout the meal.

If you are in Alpharetta and looking for an exceptional dining experience, Rumi’s Kitchen should be at the top of your list. I will absolutely be returning.

I came here for my birthday. I absolutely loved every part of this restaurant. The fine dining has the most amazing architecture through the decor, the food was immaculate with flavor, including the Persian ice cream sandwich, it was very delicious. Also, I can’t forget to mention the server Carlos, he was absolutely sweet and generous.

I loved that he made my dining experience enjoyable by including my friend pieces to enjoy the ice cream sandwich. I’ll definitely be back.

The service and atmosphere was great, but the food was just ok. The duck had no duck flavor, and the only thing you could taste was the sweet jam. The chicken kebabs were decent but the marinade was just ok flavor wise. The saffron ice cream was definitely unique, but I wouldn’t exactly recommend it.

Overall, a nice restaraunt but the flavors of some of the dishes left more to be desired.

I visited in December 2025 to celebrate my mother’s birthday, and we had a wonderful experience. Largely thanks to our server, Hamza. He made my mom feel truly special, offered excellent recommendations, and most importantly, was warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly throughout our visit. His service made our celebration even more enjoyable.

We started with the Roasted Crimini & Oyster Mushroom Hummus, which was packed with flavor — rich, creamy, and incredibly satisfying.

For our main courses, we ordered the Roasted Salmon with herb basmati rice (the chef recommends it cooked medium), and it was perfectly prepared — moist, flavorful, and not dry at all. Hamza also introduced us to sumac spice, which he described as similar to salt. Adding it to the dishes enhanced the flavors even more.

We also tried the Lamb Kabob with basmati rice. While it was well-seasoned, it was a bit too dry for my personal taste, and the flavors felt slightly overpowering — though my mother enjoyed it very much.

Overall, we had a great experience and truly appreciated the attentive service and thoughtful recommendations.

We came for lunch and had a great experience for a midday outing away from the office. Our server, Finn was very accommodating and knowledgeable and gave genuine care. We ordered the Chilean Sea Bass and it was amazing. The flavor was great and the rice accented it perfectly. I’m glad our server recommended the sumac which added a great accent to the rice. The ambiance was very calm and serene while also being trendy and fun. Definitely give this place a try. It’s popular and doesn’t need my endorsement however I just thought I’d chime in.

We celebrated my son’s 26th birthday, and the service and food were impeccable. Paityn, one of the managers, was delightful, accommodating, and truly went above and beyond to make the evening special. She is a five-star manager who genuinely shines, and it is clear she will continue to excel while uplifting everyone around her. Her recommendation of the crispy potatoes as an appetizer was excellent.

My husband and son enjoyed the salmon, I had the Chicken Barg, and everything was prepared perfectly. Michael, our waiter, was polite, professional, and thorough, ensuring our dining experience was seamless. To top off the celebration, my son loved the pecan tart, ice cream, and date milkshake. A wonderful experienced made even better by exceptional service. ⭐

The experience at Rumi’s Kitchen was amazing. The food was so flavorful and fresh. I especially loved the Duck Fesenjoon. The pomegranate seeds were delightful, while the flavor of the pomegranate was diffuse throughout the stew. It came with a crispy rice that was delicious. The service was great and the overall experience was one that I will not forget.

Rumi’s Kitchen never disappoints. This was my third visit this year, and yes—I drove straight here from the airport again, craving the vibrant flavors and genuine Persian hospitality I’ve come to associate with this spot. This time, I was lucky to have David guiding me through both the drink and food menu. With his half Persian background and deep understanding of the cuisine, his recommendations truly elevated my experience.Standout DishesFrom the uniquely tangy “kabab torsh” paired with a crisp spinach salad to the decadent Persian saffron ice cream, every plate was a standout. The kabab had the perfect balance of flavors, with tender meat and the tart pomegranate marinade shining through. The salad was a refreshing complement, and the ice cream was an authentic, fragrant finale.Service and AtmosphereDavid’s genuine enthusiasm and knowledge made a difference, offering a personal touch that’s rare even among top-tier venues. The staff overall is attentive, and the ambiance strikes a blend of upscale comfort without the stuffiness—making it perfect for everything from business dinners to friend gatherings.Pricing and ValueFor an elevated dining experience, Rumi’s is surprisingly accessible in price. Compared to many other restaurants I visit across the country during my travels, Rumi’s Kitchen stands out as delivering premium quality without the premium price tag. The overall value here easily sets it apart from most Persian and Mediterranean spots in major cities.Final ThoughtsWhether you’re a newcomer to Persian cuisine or a regular like me, Rumi’s Kitchen is a must-visit in Atlanta. Consistent excellence in food, service, and atmosphere makes it a go-to every time I’m in town.
