We have been wanting to go to Rumcow for several months. The food and craft drinks were terrific. Bryan, our bartender/waiter was a real pro, positive and fun. Loved our meals and look forward to a return meal.

We were roaming the streets of Wilmington looking for a cool, quiet place to eat and drink on St. Paddy’s day weekend. We found this adorable place with a good sized bar and super friendly service. Alexia was our bartender, but the other staff was awesome and made us feel welcomed. We got some cocktails and shared appetizers. The drinks were creative and the food was delicious. We got the Vietnamese lettuce wraps (warning a bit spicy) and Asian tots. Food came out very fast in spite of them being busy. We would love to visit again when in the area. Cheers!

This is a nice restaurant in downtown. Small plates and tapas like servings are available. Our server was William. Took great care of us and made good recommendations. We had tuna and chicken and fried green tomato sliders among other items.

Hip little restaurant in town. Right across from the Marriott hotel. Very conventional when staying there. We got the Asian tater tots, chicken & waffles sandwich, and chicken cornbread sandwich. The sandwiches were much larger than expected. They were labeled sliders, but you get two and probably won’t need anymore food. Very large portions. The Asian tater tots were interesting, they have a peanut sauce on them. The edimame was a bit much on it. But tasty regardless. I would eat here again. Get your knife and fork out for these sandwiches.

We sat at the bar and had cocktails and appetizers. Bartending staff was friendly and helpful. We got the Asian tots and Vietnamese chicken salad lettuce wraps. We added a 4th wrap so we could share. So that cost us an extra 4$. It was the right amount of food. Service was fast. Definitely recommend this place.

This is going to be a long one as I went with a party and took pictures of everything. The waiter was good. He told us about some of the popular things and things he liked. He also got us the drinks quickly. I had a similar issue with the chairs, but I can overlook for the rating. I had polyester blend dress pants and was sliding all over the place. Our table was a big block of wood. It was pretty cool. We started with appetizers and think we got 5. These pictures might not be in order to my review. We ordered the avocado fries.
And they were very good. The crust was very crisp, and of course, the avocado was soft and warm. I typically don’t eat avocado but wanted to try it.And I was impressed. The next step was the coconut curry shrimp. I’m not very big on shrimp, but I decided to have a spoonful of the curry. The one thing I always think of when I have curry is comfort food, and it did not disappoint slightly spicy but not hot.
The next appetizer. That we had was the chips in queso with goat cheese. First, the chips are crisp. They probably make them in-house. They’re light and airy. The cheese dip is made with goat cheese. It was very smooth and creamy. I could have poured it on everything that I ate. The next thing that we got was the peppercini, Hummus, that also came with those chips. Everybody commented how the Hummus tasted different from what they expected. But it had a little thing of different flavor and everybody loved it.
For my main course, I ended up having the island burger, which came with a pineapple salsa that was really refreshing as part of the burger I asked for a medium cooked burger and it came out exactly as I had requested. With all the appetizers, I could not finish the whole burger, which is rare. I wished I had because it was one of the best parts of the meal. It came with a side of French fries. They were also crispy.
Despite our large party, I thought that the bill would be very high, but it was not. The food was very affordable. In my opinion, $10 appetizer, $15 meal, not a bad way to spend dinner with friends and family. If you want something a little more exotic, you could go for the waigu beef steak, which was a bit more than my meal with appetizer.

Came for Valentine’s Day. Made a reservation late January and was not informed it was a pre fixe menu for $130 a couple until the first week of February. By that point it was too late to book somewhere else. Fine, we still went.

Arrived and was told it was not one app per person but one per table. Felt like false advertising based on the menu that was shared where all other sections of the menu were per person.

Food arrived and this is where I felt the need to review. Salads tasted like fresh express bagged Caesar salads. At most these would cost $7 as a side salad on a normal night menu. Appetizer of fried ravioli again tasted frozen. Something I’d get out of the frozen food aisle at HT. Filet mignon was maybe 4oz. Unseasoned. Came with baby carrots that were clearly just microwaved with some seasoning and about three tablespoons of mashed potatoes. Chicken dish was unseasoned and overcooked. Dessert was marketed as tiramisu and red velvet cake. Both were served in cupcake form with the top layer being plain vanilla ice cream and the bottom 20% being cake. Neither were an actual red velvet cake or tiramisu.

Overall, I feel like this is a poor attempt to market a Valentine’s Day meal. It felt rushed and thoughtless. I could have had a better meal buying premade items at the grocery store and it would’ve been 1/3 of the price. Not to mention the miscommunications on the menu. Will not return and I am disappointed at the amount of money that was wasted on a poor meal.

This place used to be awesome but this time it was just okay. The flavor was delicious but our food was not warm, one of the steaks was overcooked. We paid too much money for food that sat under the heat lamp too long. We were seated next to the bathroom which wasn’t great. Our server was fantastic though!
