A delightful little place we discovered close to our neighborhood in Chamblee. The decor is on the diner side but it was clean and the food was very reasonable priced and the portions very generous.

This Bangladeshi restaurant filled our needs for a taste of Indian flavors and introduced us to the Bangladeshi twist on them.

We tried the chicken samosa (nice spice kick) and onion pakora. They served them with ketchup (maybe because we’re Caucasian?) but provided tamarind sauce when requested. Both were good.
We had a biryani dish and a korma dish. Both were delicious with plenty of pieces of meat in them and were very generously sized. We’ll get 2-3 more meals from the leftovers.
The only thing that was less than great was the garlic Naan which tasted ok but was tough as if it was reheated. We’ll try the naan again to see if that was a one off but other than that, all expectations were met.

The service was fast and friendly and we’ll be back to try some more of the recommendations from staff.

Ruma’s Delights in Atlanta has 4.9 stars from 347 reviews, so I expected a great experience — but honestly, the reviews don’t make sense based on what I got. The Beef Buna tasted sour, and I couldn’t tell if it was supposed to be Acari-style or the regular Beef Buna on their menu.

The roti had a strange aftertaste, so I asked the chef, and he told me they get it from a supplier, meaning it’s not handmade, yet it’s still $2 per piece. The handmade paratha was decent, but overall the food didn’t match the hype.

With ratings that high, I expected much better.

Delicious. The reviews are true. I didn’t try the buffet but it looked OK. (okay, to be honest, I am not a buffet person at all so I will always order fresh but a buffet can serve a nice purpose if you’re looking for variety. It would have to be very very busy with fresh food constantly coming out for me to ever consider a buffet which this one is not because they’re too small for that.) I ordered from the menu and the portions were large, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. The gentlemen were quite welcoming and friendly. I’m looking forward to coming back and trying other items on their menu. I do wish they had any type of naan bread and the paper and Styrofoam plates are a little underwhelming . But I won’t knock them a star for that. Overall I enjoyed it and will be back.

We had Tehari, Polao Roast, Duck Bhuna with Khichuri, Moghlai Porota, Mixed Grilled Platter, and Shami Kabab for our family of four. Everything was delicious, and the service was excellent!

If you’re a fan of authentic Bengali cuisine, you absolutely have to check this place out.
My recent visit was nothing short of amazing. The hospitality from the owner was top-notch—he was incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. The food itself was a perfect blend of traditional flavors and quality ingredients. We ordered a feast: Pulao with Chicken Roast, Rui Do Pyaza, Rupchanda Do Pyaza, Daal, Chotpoti, plain Rice, Daalpuri, Moglai Parota, and of course, Misti (sweets) to finish.
Every single dish was a trip down memory lane, bringing back the lost flavors of home-cooked Bengali food. From the rich taste of the chicken roast to the delicate spices in the fish curries, you could tell each item was prepared with care and tradition. The cost was surprisingly reasonable, especially considering the quality and portion sizes. This is a place where everything—the food, the service, and the price—comes together perfectly.
I can’t recommend it enough. This is my new go-to spot for an authentic Bengali food fix.

Wonder how they have 4.9 star in ATL?

Writing this review after dining 13times 5 week straight include weekdays & weekend buffet!!

They are professional in this business.
After food serve, Chef comes to table for quality check, which is really impressive.
Also, owner will come to you ask for food quality and little chat.

Pros:-
1. Small Menu Fresh Food
2. Big Quantities
3. Quiet Environment for family.
4. No Bangladeshi TAXI driver here so great quality time spending
5. Super clean Washroom 5star✨
6. Great customer service✅
7. Value for Money
8. Weekend food tastes better. ✌️
9. Weekend Buffet(fresh) best for one time diner $20 only.

Cons:-
1. No Chinigura Rice(Bangladesh Rice)
2. No Tap water.
3. Weekdays food tastes bad.
4. Basmati Rice only (Indian rice)
5. Always recommend what’s been available.

When I started dining here, food tastes better but slowly tastes dropping like other Bangladeshi restaurant.

Advice:-
Stop pan frying Biriani, Cook.
Stop Chicken Roast Deep fry, make it Soft.
Make available whatever in the Manu.
Bring Chinigura Rice ASAP, tastes the Best
Stop Pan frying Beef Curry, Cook.

There is always room for improvement & I believe they could make it better.
Best wishes to all

A great experience for anyone looking for authentic homestyle bengali food. The owner is an amazing man and strives to put authentic food in your plate. The food was very good. I recommend their porotas which are fried in ghee, and also their beef bhuna and roast polao . Do check this place out for a very welcoming, hospitable, and delicious dining experience.

We had their buffet and it wasn’t worthy of $20 per person. I only enjoyed Paya and Tehari and everything else was below average. The dessert they served was very dissatisfying (only halwa which no one even felt like to taste). Don’t be overwhelmed by their high rating and good reviews. We were in rush and later found that the bill was $75+ for the buffet + bottled water (that we never asked) for 3 person and it’s really made me write this review.
