Or waitress was quick and attentive! Thank you for a pleasant dining experience.
Conch fritters and mac n cheese balls were the only good food (appetizers), we could enjoy. My surf n turf buger patty had no seasoning. Crab meat on top wasn’t bad seasoning but did not taste fresh.
Drinks came late, after appetizers arrived. Restaurant was pretty empty.. We sat inside since our desired outside seating by the creek was not set up yet. It was empty inside and lot of servers gathering in circle talking away in the middle of the main dining room. Our server did well, but didn’t like the overall atmosphere, kinda dated, dingy, dark and borderline unsanitary appearance. They had live music and bar was busy as typically. Wife’s pasta dish was too heavy too thick sauce… Definitely out of a jar or can..
This is a neat place off the beaten path in Fort Myers. We made a quick overnight trip down and stumbled upon this place.
Ambiance : 5/5
It has unique babbling streams, water features and what looked like a beer garden for live entertainment seating.
It had a large covered open porch with live entertainment. The seating arrangement allow for both large and small parties. It had large TVs for the sports enthusiasts and allows pets on the outside deck. The bathrooms were super clean.
Food/Drink 5/5
I ordered a Caesar salad with grilled chicken. It was fresh and came as I ordered it with cheese, croutons and dressing on the side. I like to control my salad mixology (lol).
My wife had the BLT with fries that were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. She said it was one of the best she ever had. Lots of bacon, tomatoes were good and bread was toasted perfectly.
We did not have any hard liquor drinks or beer however the selection looked good.
Service : 5/5
Waitress was pleasant and got everything right with our order.
Conclusion : I liked this place for both the atmosphere and food.
I went with my family on Sunday 1/18/26 around 1pm. There was a total of 16 customers at the outside bar and 10-12 tables of about a 30-table inside dining area occupied by customers. The waitress we had was really trying her best but an expression of fatigue from being overwhelmed was apparent, (which in a way can ruin an experience due to tension it puts on the customer for asking for anything that might add to their fatigue). We waited over 20 minutes to receive waters at our table. We had an issue with the soda that was being provided due to it being either flat or the dispenser wasn’t dispensing the syrup. It was said by staff that the issue was addressed and fixed by the Pepsi supplier the day prior, but we received drinks that were still flat/ tasteless, and the alcoholic beverages are hit or miss. The atmosphere is still missing a few touches but has major potential due to location, food quality, and overall structural design of the restaurant. But it might be wasted if they aren’t able to address the service, the atmosphere, and little things like coordinating with your beverage supplier to either fix the issue or replace the machine. I also can’t give a complete review because their live entertainment was canceled but may have increased the dining experience. Moral of the story is, if you’re looking for a roll of the dice, Rum Bucket is the choice. Hope they can pull it together because it was goooood food.
