I highly recommend our lunch spot today! The sambusas, ginger tea, chicken, rice, and chapati were spot on. The man who served us was very kind and helped us decide what to order. We’ll be back again soon!

We are from out of town but decided to stop here to try some halal food. We had no prior experience with east African food. We each ordered a chicken dish. Our food was prepared fresh and was very flavorful. It seemed like there were many to go orders, but we chose to dine in. If we were in Fargo again we would stop again! Portions were generous and cost was reasonable too!

This restaurant had more of a commercial feel to it as opposed to being authentic. BUT… It was in fact authentic as the owner was there cooking and he is from Africa. The food was pretty good. I had the chicken and rice and would recommend it. My friends shared a Sports Plate. Their goat was a little too chewy for them but the other meats were good.

The guy is an excellent cook and provides outstanding customer service. The food took about 20 minutes, which was not a long wait at all—I even brought a magazine to read while waiting. The meal was absolutely delicious and made to perfection! The tea was fantastic as well. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

The food is great. It was served with love and care. Most importantly, the wait time was appropriate! If you find yourself in the area, treat yourself to an Eastern African food well served.

The food is very good, prepared fresh and so flavorful with generous portions. Daily specials to top that off Be sure to add on the Sambousa, very savory and hearty treat.

One of the best local family ran African restaurants, great food, great service it might take a minute for your order to be delivered because they will COOk you the food, which mean you’re eating something authentic not processed
Give them a try

The food was very delicious! I highly recommend coming here! Very inviting atmosphere. I think a lot of people around here take the availability of this delicious authentic cuisine for granted. The FM area is very fortunate to have your wonderful restaurant here. Thank you!
I can’t wait to come back!

I saw a friend post some chicken curry and rice and it looked delicious. I found myself heading that way a week or two later and had to give it a try. Definitely a good sized portion of food and lived up to the picture. It’s fairly small on the inside–not a lot of seating capacity (22 table seats and 6 facing walls seats). I think it’s classified as an East African food joint. I’ll make sure I find my way back.
Edit: I finally made my way back. The guy was friendly and had a positive personality. The chicken curry and rice were fantastic. I got it to go and he opened the box and showed me the meal before I paid for it. That gives a good sense of security.

I want to start by saying I love African food and claim it to be my favorite cuisine.
At this restaurant we felt like we didn’t get what we paid for. Portions are on the small side. Drink prices aren’t posted so I had no idea I was paying $17 for two drinks! Overall the food was ok. The photos looked great but the $14 wrap is small and $18 curry was thin. Perhaps it was just the character of the dishes we picked. Taste was alright, and I really hate to give a less than stellar review to a small ethnic restaurant, but we were pretty dissatisfied with the whole experience.
*The business did refund the price of the drink which I did not ask them to do. But thank you for the gesture. I will reevaluate my rating.
