Ruffins II The Clubhouse in Baker, just outside Baton Rouge, is a hidden gem with roots that run deep— owned and operated by the brother of New Orleans legend Kermit Ruffins. It’s got an edgy vibe, solid food and drinks, and customers who know how to party. I stopped by for Sunday brunch and it was a full-on Baton Rouge moment, there is an open dance floor, plenty of seating, and birthday celebrations that turned the place into a scene. The $30 cover gets you bottomless mimosas and all-you-can-eat. I’m pretty sure this place can be booked out for special events as well!

Sunday brunch was great. Great food and good service. The only problem I incurred was you have to pay extra for orange juice and the mimosas aren’t. Makes no sense because everyone doesn’t drink alcohol. Good music dress code should be enforced.

I ordered the fried ribs and was really let down. They were tough, dry, and clearly old — definitely not fresh. This is the second time I’ve had this issue, and it’s frustrating, especially since I used DoorDash and couldn’t check the food before it arrived. If you’re picking up, I strongly recommend checking your order before leaving. I won’t be ordering again.

When people are so polite you don’t care about the wait… I bought half a gallon of Suicide, went back later and bought a gallon. I waited 3 to 5 minutes for someone to greet me and take my order, but when she did she was very attentive. I used a debit card so when she handed me the slip, she also put my card and the pen in my hand not on the counter….. That’s respect!!!! & the flavor was great!!!!

A Group of ladies goes to different locations to relax after work. So we’re at the counter looking and talking among each other one of the ladies was searching on there phone and the gentleman behind the bar was so rude and nasty. Asking why you have your phone out? What you have it pointed at me for? And we looking like really without getting rude or causing a problem showed him the phone thinking we were going to get an apology we just left. The owner really need to teach the workers customer service skills… .
