Stopped by Rūfa at the Ritz-Carlton Sarasota one December evening for drinks and small plates. The setting is beautiful — outdoor seating right on the water feels peaceful with cool breezes and twinkling lights. Great spot if you’re in the mood for a relaxed, scenic evening.
The drinks are decent. Cocktails are creative and look nice, though I didn’t think they were anything special compared to other hotel bars. Prices are what you’d expect for a Ritz-Carlton — on the higher side.
We ordered a few small plates to share. Some were tasty, others just okay. Portions were pretty small for the price, and a couple of the flavors didn’t knock my socks off. Still, it was nice grazing while enjoying the view.
Service was friendly but a bit slow — seemed like they were a bit understaffed for the crowd that night.
Overall, a pleasant place to hang with a drink and light bites outdoors in December, especially if the weather cooperates. Great view, solid vibe, just not a standout culinary experience. Worth a visit if you’re nearby, but maybe not a destination on its own.

Rufa Bar is absolutely amazing. Eddy and Racheal were the best. From the moment we sat down, they were warm, attentive, and genuinely fun to be around. Drinks were perfect, service was on point, and they made the whole experience feel effortless and welcoming. You can tell they truly care about what they do. We’ll definitely be back and will be asking for Eddy and Racheal again.

We had such a great experience thanks to our bartender, Jillian! She was incredibly sweet, attentive, and made us feel so welcome from the moment we sat down. Her service was fast, friendly, and she had the best attitude — genuinely seemed to enjoy what she does. The drinks were great, but her personality really made the night. You can tell she cares about her guests and takes pride in her work. Definitely ask for Jillian if you go — she’s awesome!

Sooo, Rufa was a perfect spot to chill while waiting for the check-in line at the Ritz to die down. We came while the weather was just right, and the bar’s view of the marina made it even better.
Our bartender was super sweet and helpful with the menu. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious—we just grabbed a few appetizers to hold us over, and they hit the spot. If you’re staying at the hotel, I’d definitely recommend giving it a try!

Amazing place to grab a few drinks and some small plates! Loved the red knot cocktail and I think our favorite plate were the sliders and chicken skewers. Guac was delicious too. We used it as a tapas type dinner and got a bunch of everything. Incredible food and service by Julianna. Will be back!!
