We made reservations for a Friday night, just a regular date night. They have a course prix fixe menu on Fri & Sat. It is all about the experience this restaurant, and if you like to be surprised with different types of food to taste you should make reservations here. It can be a little pricey and small bites but again, it’s all about the experience and you will not be disappointed. Service was great, they have parking available and the restaurant was nice.

My favorite neighborhood restaurant! Rue never disappoints. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. Your experience starts as soon as you hit the door. Chef always brings new experiences daily. I highly recommend the Rue experience with wine pairing. This week we ordered from the menu and it was absolutely delicious. We started with a Mayport shrimp and the seared octopus for appetizers. For our main we went with the duck confit and the New York strip. Both prepared and plated perfectly splendid. For dessert we had the honey cake. Lord it was fantastic. If you haven’t dined at Rue Saint Marc what are you waiting for?

Let me start by stating it has been the best dining experience of the past 2 years in Jacksonville, where interesting chefs and food are scarce. That said, while everything was nicely executed and plated, there was not a dish (we had the tasting menu) that I will remember as something exceptional: flavors are a bit muted, as if the Chef was making sure not to offend anyone’s taste. We had the wine pairing and it certainly is interesting (have you ever tried the Areni grape from Armenia? Barbera rose from Slovenia?) and complemented the dishes, but none of the wines were outstanding on their own.

I love the service and the fine dining experience. I really enjoyed the multi-course meal that really made the experience unlike anything in the area. Parking is a bit tight, though. The server is knowledgeable about the wine, a sommelier would be a plus.

Miriam, Victor and Jordan were true gems and made the entire experience. 20/10 experience and this place absolutely deserves a Michelin star. Service and food was seamless.
