A delightfully above average lunch experience! I got the club sandwich on a Gluten Free and it had more flavor than I expected. A bit of a Smokey addition to the flavor with the avocado did the sandwich justice. The fries are like McDonald’s fries if they went to college and got a business degree: had the shape and form but clearly upscale and superior. The bartender with red hair was also friendly and tentative. I’m glad I came in! God bless!

Couldn’t have been more disappointed in their Thanksgiving Buffet. To start with, there was confusion over the menu. This was not their fault, but I had seen the menu online with great offerings and pricing. Turns out the menu I saw was for Rudy’s Redeye Grill in White Bear Lake. This was disappointing because the menu at Lakeville offered much less and was also substantially more expensive. There was nothing on either menu stating the location, so it was confusing. Again, not their fault.

This said, I wouldn’t have been greatly disappointed IF the food was pretty good. Not only was the food only average at best, it wasn’t presented well, the buffet table for hot food was very messy and when the buffet serving dishes were refilled, the people refilling them just dumped all the old food on top of the new, and it didn’t look appealing at all. The fresh vegetable and salad options were extremely limited, bu the fruit at least was presented nicely and was fresh. I did think the turkey tasted good, but the ham was dried out and tough. It’s hard to mess up mashed potatoes so they were alright but I’m not exaggerating to say it was the WORST Turkey gravy I have ever tasted. My husband, who never complains, agreed with me and said that you would have thought the green beans could have been cooked – at least a little! We both like somewhat firm and crunchy green beans, but these were practically raw. The dessert table was severely lacking and the majority of the tiny desserts (very limited in variety) looked like they were purchased across the street at Walmart. Absolutely disappointing and hardly worth $43 a piece!

The only great thing about the whole experience, and I have to recognize her, was that our server, Mia, was excellent! She was super friendly and very attentive. She provided wonderful service!

Rudy’s in Lakeville – you need to step up your game!!

The mini popovers were very good! The beef tips were tepid at best. They would of been very good if they were hot. But were barely room temp. My shrimp quinoa bowl was tasty, but once again, barely warm. Others had the mignon, it was good, the green beans were wonderful! The prime rib was once again, barely warm. We tried ALL of the desserts, they were good, but not Oh my… that was awesome! So that’s why the rating. Nothing off putting on taste. It was all on the temperature of the food. Nothing was hot. It really wasn’t super busy. It was full, but not crazy. Place is nice, a lot larger then it appears, but not as nice as it appears on line. I have been watching in on Facebook for months before we made the drive to come up to try it out. It’s only an hour drive, but we might give it another try. But we will wait awhile. There are other places to go first.

Came here for dinner our last night in town, and it was phenomenal. The steak was made perfect, the green beans were amazing. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly as well. If we ever make it back this way, we’d definitely eat here again.

Food was overpriced for the quality of the food. The coconut shrimp came with 6 pieces for the price of 18$ that were over cooked. The classic Rubin sandwich was also disappointing for the price of 17$. We did have server Brad and he made the experience better.

I was a paying customer there. Got there and stayed at the hotel adjoined to it. Went there to get drinks and play pull tabs. I had 3 mamsoas and left after hundreds of dollars in pull tabs winning and paying tips to the bartender Josh. His service was great. Then at around 4 pm a female bartender came on by the name of Leah. She served many drink to parties next to us. Served me 3 beers, a jag red bull drink. All while serving whiskey waters and many shots to other patrons. My fiancée has 2 neutral sellers and then a vodka drink. We did tab out a few time and the ordered a pizza. The. My fiancé orders a shot with one of the patrons that had about 15 drinks throughout the day. My fiancé wasn’t being loud or obnoxious in any way. But was cut off. So we left. To find out she served many friends of ours way past their limits which she knew most of them where driving. She made hundreds of dollars from us that day from pull tabs and was just rude as all get out. Have pictures of then serving them.

Let’s get this out of the way: the fries deserve their own spotlight. Crunchy, salty, golden perfection—I’d happily order just a plate of them and call it dinner.

Now onto the real show. The Texas Egg Rolls were the perfect starter—crispy outside, creamy and savory inside, with just enough jalapeño to keep things interesting without torching your taste buds.

I went in on the French Dip, and wow. The bread is so soft and fresh you almost don’t need the au jus (but let’s be real, you’re gonna dip anyway). The Fish & Chips came out hot, crispy, and generous—classic done right.

Atmosphere-wise, this place feels upscale but without the attitude. It’s exactly where you want to end up after a long day at a car show or on the road. Classy, comfy, and welcoming.

And whatever you do, get dessert. The cheesecake and carrot cake are next-level. Soft, rich, and sweet enough to make you rethink sharing.

Our server was awesome, too—attentive without hovering. All-around fantastic meal. I’ll be back for the fries… and everything else.

The food was fantastic. The only reason I gave them 4 stars is because both times we ate there and the food was hardly warm.

It has a supper club vibe. We love the popover and honey butter. The mushroom ravioli with an Alfred sauce was great. The prime rib had amazing flavor and a horseradish sauce. The seasoning was great and it was 35.00. Only served on Friday and Saturday, I think. Our server on the 1st night was an 11 out of 10, and the second service was good, just not the same as the first time.

I would highly recommend it and I hope to go back.

We ordered Popovers, Sundried pasta, Pecan Chicken and kids Cheeseburger. Sundried pasta and Pecan Chicken are tasty with flavors. I wish the mashed potatoes that came with Pecan Chicken had more flavor. Popovers tasted plain without honey butter. Fries came with kids the cheeseburger was good. We appreciate less salt in the fries. Portions of entrees are more than enough for one person. The server was nice and checked on us multiple times. The overall ambience in the restaurant is good. The restaurant is sharing the building with Holiday Inn. So I expect busy times during breakfast hours. We will definitely go back to this restaurant to try the rest of the menu.
