I’ve been to a few of these now so, when in Newcastle, I was a bit torn between here and Pizza Punks opposite, as I’ve never been to one of those. They looked quite similar though, so in the end my sense of familiarity won out and I opted for this Rudy’s. The other one also had some odd looking customers sitting in the window.

Premises probably an old shop or bank, inside it’s the usual mixture of eclectic furniture, exposed concrete and wood. – retro shabbiness. Whatever they call that style. Looks less like an actual building site than the York one though.

Very quiet restaurant, with about six occupied tables, so surprised to be offered the ‘pizza bar’ to sit at – I know I was only one, but who wants to sit with their back to the room.. no thanks. Requested a table instead, which was offered. Note to self though, not a place to visit alone when actually busy, as wouldn’t want to sit at the counter.

All very polite, although I suspect this was the ‘least favoured’ table as it was by the door, but I rather liked it, could see why was happening. probably less good when restaurant is busy.

Service was very good, as you’d expect as there were lots of staff and it was quiet. Drink and food ordered and received quickly. All present and correct.

Opted for the triple pepperoni, which comes with some lush meat and. Hot honey drizzle. Tasty. The pizzas here are fresh. But I can never finish them… very big No sides or pudding, for I was full. Some interesting looking specials – a pizza with bolognaise always sounds good, but not with aubergine…

Anyway, this is a decent pizza place, I’d come here again. I don’t come to Newcastle much these days, but it’s always been a good place to go out for a meal, nice to see that remains so.

Just had an epic meal with the pup in tow! The food was top-notch, especially the Margherita and Large Campana pizzas—seriously, can’t go wrong with those classics. The service was outstanding; the staff greeted us warmly and checked in perfectly without being overbearing. Plus, the atmosphere was just right for a relaxed night out. I’ll definitely be back for more of that amazing garlic aioli!

My son had visited Rudy’s in Manchester and said it was the best pizza ever and couldn’t wait to go back! Visited Sunday lunch time and the restaurant was practically fully. Service was professional and friendly and helped with recommendations. Food was lovely! Atmosphere was relaxed with a nice vibe. Would definitely recommend and return.

Nice city centre location and gets great reviews, just probably chose the worst time to go, early December and it absolutely marred the night. It was noisy beyond belief with no music or atmosphere and crammed full. Decor quite warehouse like and industrial but i liked it.

We were sat on a table where we literally had to shout at each other to be heard. Waiter was friendly enough but attempted to hard sell upgrading from glasses to bottles of wine, didnt grasp we were all driving despite being told twice. Menu very limited and to be honest, food was mediocre. Waited around 15 minutes from ordering which is ok. Pizza crust burned and very little cheese on the pizza, middle seemed undercooked. Ceaser side salad was mostly the bitter yellow bits of lettuce you throw away with little dressing. Plenty of fresh parmesan though. The Tiramisu saved the meal but £7 was a bit steep for what you get in a small drinking glass.
Toilets down steep stairs and mens/women’s in some room which I didnt like. Also, whole staircase smelled like rotten eggs!

Overall quite a disappointing experience.
I dislike giving reviews on the negative side but im being honest. I’d give it another go when its less busy, less noisy and it can be a more leisurely experience and the food is ‘less put together quickly’.

Sorry Rudys, I wanted to love it, I just didn’t.

Visited Rudy’s on NYE….Pizza’s are fresh and big! We decided on the Carni-3 types of Salame which included wild boar salame…delicious! and the Porchetta a special with a yuletide twist of porchetta, sage roasted potatoes, and cranberry sauce! This was also very tasty even though we found it a little sweet for us! We also had a side of Garlic bread. The decor is very modern and the music very chilled which was perfect for having a conversation. Staff were very polite and friendly, and we would certainly recommend a visit!

The pizza is absolutely delicious. Some of the best pizza you’ll taste. Cost is very reasonable and will them being so big, having fewer pizzas than people doesn’t feel stingy.

Service was great too. The manager – a bearded American guy – was really friendly and helpful.

Had an excellent special pizza half month ago(the one with shaved Padano), then came back again for that this week. Weren’t told that few ingredients were in shortage when we ordered the same pizza this time, then got a completely different one (the one with basil). When we asked the staff why it looks completely different from what we had last time, he just casually said ‘because we haven’t got some ingredients today, forgot to tell you.’ The pizza also tasted completely different. Wasn’t a good experience. How would they even serve the pizza if they haven’t got enough ingredients for that?

After being to multiple different Rudys pizza multiple times I can confidently say with certainty that you’ll always get consistently great food! This is my personal favourite style of pizza, thin base, fresh ingredients and wood fired, but with large portion sizes. It is consistently excellent. The burrata is excellent and the salads are also very good. You can’t go wrong with a rudys pizza. And make sure to get the garlic Aioli dip!

I had a lovely meal with fantastic service, in particular from Oli. The Capricciosa pizza, modified to be vegetarian, was delicious, and the Triple Pepperoni was spot on too. However, I think they could use more dip and veg options to really elevate the experience. The atmosphere felt a bit unfinished, with the tables and chairs resembling a school dinner hall, but it was still clean and had good music playing. Overall, a solid spot for pizza!
