We’re a relaxed, neighbourhood pizzeria in the heart of Sale. We follow the traditions and artistry of pizza from Naples – the birthplace of pizza. We opened our first pizzeria in Ancoats, Manchester in 2015. Since then we have spent years perfecting our techniques to create a perfect, light, classic Neapolitan pizza.

Rudy’s Pizza in Durham delivered a truly excellent experience from start to finish. The Margherita pizza was outstanding – perfectly cooked with a light, crispy base and fresh, high-quality ingredients that really let the flavours shine. The Aperol was equally impressive, refreshing and well made, and it complemented the meal perfectly.
The location is ideal, making it a great place to stop whether you’re exploring the city or meeting friends. On top of that, the service was warm, efficient, and welcoming, which really added to the overall atmosphere. Everything came together brilliantly, and it’s easily one of the best pizza spots in Durham.

After being to multiple different Rudys pizza multiple times I can confidently say with certainty that you’ll always get consistently great food! This is my personal favourite style of pizza, thin base, fresh ingredients and wood fired, but with large portion sizes. It is consistently excellent. The burrata is excellent and the salads are also very good.
You can’t go wrong with a rudys pizza. And make sure to get the garlic Aioli dip! The kitchen is an open kitchen and the hygiene and freshness looks on point and that is reflected in the food they serve. They seem to get young (probably Durham uni students) staff working here and they’re always spot on and give great service!

Rudy’s Pizza Napoletana is well known for their delicious pizzas which is so true.
Mango Margarita was very sweet, but quite strong.
The Caprese Piccola Salad was fresh and refreshing to start with.
The Triple Pepperoni Pizza tasted just like heaven with 3 different kinds of pepperoni and stracciatella (burrata heart). The chilli honey had enhanced so much flavour too.
The Romagnola Pizza was a healthy choice with very fresh rocket and a reasonable amount of Emilia- Romagna aged prosciutto.
The food was super. The pizza dough was very delicious with chewy texture.
The ambience was decent as a Pizza place.
Highly recommend for pizza lovers.

Great Pizza Place in Durham
They do have lots of Pizza or Italian Resturant in this 100m alley towards the river.
I choose this due to it dedication to Pizza only while others have pasta etc. want to see how napoleon pizza were done here. It’s a busy places with locals coming here to eat so it’s just in weekend lunch hour.
Staff a nice and well attended.
I saw people having the regular common pizza like Margaritas or Pepperoni etc. they all look good.
I ordered their special pizza and it came and it’s not the tomato base I want but it taste fabulous
I love it
Standard portion for 1 adult. Sad I can’t order more food or desserts
I would come try again next time, it’s one of favorite place.

I just had an incredible meal that really blew me away! The pizzas were top-notch, especially the Triple Pepperoni and Carni – I genuinely loved everything. The atmosphere was fantastic, the place was spotless, and the service was spot on; the staff were super friendly and made sure I was enjoying my meal. If I had to nitpick, I’d love to see more options for drinks, maybe pints instead of bottles. Overall, a brilliant experience that I can’t wait to repeat!

Had a brilliant experience at Rudy’s Durham! I come to Rudy’s a lot, but this was my first time at the Durham branch and it’s honestly one of the best I’ve been to. Nicola was such a friendly, welcoming server and really made the experience even better. Great atmosphere, great service, and amazing food as always — will definitely be back!

Just had the best pizza experience! The Triple Pepperoni was spot on, and the Choc Brownie was a delightful finish—couldn’t get enough. The atmosphere was pleasant/relaxed, and the staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Honestly, I can’t wait to come back again, even if I’m only working away for a bit. Highly recommend!

Got the 39£ Rudy’s for two for delivery. Not worth the money at all. The Caesar salad “for 2” was a tiny tub with maybe 5 small pieces of lettuce. Definitely not for 2. The pizza itself has a nice crust and flavor, but I tend to expect cheese when ordering a margarita. Not a few small pieces that don’t even cover half the pizza. Really not worth it.

I recently enjoyed a delightful meal at this place and I can’t recommend it enough! The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, even while they were super busy. The pizzas were simply perfect—soft, crispy dough and amazing flavours that left me wanting more. And can we talk about the dips? The garlic aioli and the chilli honey dip were incredible! Overall, a fantastic dining experience that I can’t wait to repeat.
