Brisket, ribs & sides served up cafeteria-style in a no-frills setting with indoor picnic tables.

Very disappointing! We were recently at the Rudy’s in Gilbert which was excellent but this Chandler location did not live up to our expectations.
We both had pork sandwiches. We tried the Sissy Barbacue sauce. It tasted more like salt and vinegar than barbecue sauce. We had to exchange the carton on coleslaw because it had virtually no dressing in it. The sandwich tasted bland in addition to the lousy taste of the barbecue sauce. We won’t be back to this location even though we are very close to it.

Ordered the brisket sandwich, a side of coleslaw, cream corn and banana pudding. Finished off with a Frostie Root beer. Coleslaw was a little bland, but everything else was amazing! Brisket super moist, never had fresh cream corn before but I’ll be back for more! Big chunks of banana in the pudding so you know it’s real and really good! Fantastic place!

We came here for lunch while staying in Arizona. The store is spacious and has many benches, so it’s super casual. There are various menus, and if you’re alone, you can order quarter size of BBQ. My husband and I ordered half lb of beef brisket and baby back ribs, cream corn, and pecan pie. When you order, the staff will cut the BBQ and put it in the case. Pickles and bread are self-service table areas. The table has the store’s original BBQ sauce and spicy sauce, so you can try it freely.
We liked beef brisket, but baby back ribs were a little dry.
It’s a place where anyone can easily come because you can casually stop by and choose your favorite BBQ.

We ate at Rudy’s “Country Store” and Bar-B-Q located at 7300 W Chandler Blvd, Chandler, AZ 85226 on a Sunday evening. We walked in the front door and were a little confused about where to go. An area that looks like it might be a gift shop was immediately to our left and it looked that’s where we should go to order food, but it just didn’t seem right, so we walked by it and then could see the counter in the back to the left. We looked at the menu board and didn’t see any way to order a full meal; only the meat dishes, side dishes, and drinks separately. The employee behind the counter confirmed that this is how it works. We ordered two Brisket Sandwiches and potato salad. The employee advised us to step to the refrigerated cooler to our left for cold sides. We grabbed the middle sized container for both of us to share, which the receipt shows as 1 pint. We also took two of the smallest sized drink cups from the stacks, which the receipt shows as medium. The total was $33.49. Our sandwiches were prepared behind the counter and presented to us in a carrying tray. We walked toward the drink station and poured lemonade in our cups. Adjacent to the drink station was an island with straws and plastic utensils. We looked around for barbecue sauce and an employee told us that we could find some at every table. We sat down at a table and dug into the food. The sandwiches were tasty and the potato salad was well-chilled. One of the other tables had two young children whose parents allowed to run and scream freely about the area. We can’t hold that against the restaurant, but it did take away from the dining experience. Another thing we didn’t care for was the music playing on the overhead speaker system which was from the country music genre. We’re not knocking it, but we just don’t care for that style of music.

It’s delicious! We finally found the brisket balance between the “moist”, “lean” and “bark” (burnt ends) ratio for us. We removed the “lean” and order 3:1 (moist to bark ratio). Also, the sausages have that “snap” bite-into casing! Yes! I like their potato salad and coleslaw too. We mainly go there for the brisket and sausages.
The staff is also very friendly, which adds to our experience.

I’ve been coming here for years and it always hits the spot. The BBQ is smoky and tasty, and the sides are solid, especially the cream corn. The staff is super friendly, and the place has that classic Texas BBQ vibe.

Didn’t expect to get emotional walking into Rudy’s in Chandler… but here we are. Brisket MOIST (the only way to have it! ), Dr. Pepper, and a flood of memories from San Antonio. #Texas to #Arizona

Pretty good barbecue but it was pricey.
Of course, over the past four years, everything has become pricey. Two people and it cost about thirty two dollars with no alcohol.
I had pulled pork, a side of coleslaw and a side of green chili. My son had brisket and sausage sandwiche and corn on the cob. They have diet doctor pepper, which is a big plus. Everything tasted good but I have to admit. The green chili was a little spicy for me.
Nice manager. Clean store.

So yeah we tried it for breakfast and it was so delicious we went back for supper. Folks I’m taking about a jumbo baked potato with 2 smoked meats, butter, sour cream, and cheese. Yes it is very filling. The wife of course literally ate 1/2 of brisket moist with some peppers and onions. Don’t miss this stop if you are traveling through…and you live here and haven’t tried it then well you are missing out.
