This is the second time I order from this location for my bf. With all do respect when I simply asked sour cream, butter on the side they put everything on the side and he end up with this mess. The only reason I order the second time because the first order was really good. So I am simply asking what happened? This is not acceptable. If I was not living 150 miles away I would have bring this order back to your restaurant. My bf is sick so he can’t do it him self. Thank you for the disappointment.

I ordered to half chicken and did not get one. Instead, I got three pieces of chicken. One of them was real dry. The cream corn was good. The brownie was good and the Coke was good. They forgot my jalapeño, pickles, and onions. No good. I have ordered there before and it is always good except this time.

Wow! Best Barbeque in Texas. Super glad we stopped by for lunch. It’s popular with the locals for a reason! Best brisket and turkey sandwich I’ve ever had! I really appreciated that we got to sample before we ordered. Coleslaw was fresh, light and delicious. The atmosphere is fun and unassuming. The service is 5-stars all the way. I’m already craving go back!!!

I was disappointed by the quality of the food I ordered today for breakfast. I ordered three double brisket tacos for breakfast. By the time I reached home, grease from the bag had saturated my seats on my ram Laramie, Longhorn.. My seats were stained. Thank God, I had leather cleaner to clean up the greasy mess of Rudy’s breakfast tacos. I’ve always had great experiences from this restaurant in the past, Today was horrible. There was so much grease in the tacos served it’ saturated the aluminum foil and bag and stained my seeds. Again, I’ve always had awesome experiences from this restaurant. Today I was completely disappointed. Moving forward, if I eat it this greasy spoon again in the future I’ll throw their tacos on the floor where they belong.

Had a plate of Rudy’s BBQ at a company sponsored event. The plate consisted of lean brisket, turkey breast, sausage, beans, potato salad, and creamed corn. I’ll preface this by saying I paid absolutely nothing for this plate and obviously the food wasn’t fresh out of the kitchen. That being said, everything was mid…. at best. Best items were the turkey breast, potato salad and beans. Creamed corn was below average, sausage flavor was ok but parts of the casing was chewy- no bueno. The brisket was tender but dry, and tasted as if it were injected with liquid smoke and then baked in the oven. Just an honest assessment. I’m sure the items are better fresh out of the kitchen instead of 30-45 minutes later, but I’ve eaten plenty of bbq and can’t rate this higher than 3/5 and that’s being generous

My pulled pork sandwich was amazing. I added bbq, coleslaw and pickles to it and it was perfect. The new potatoes were tasty. I also tried the turkey and brisket, both were delicious. There is no cornbread here, which I thought strange for a BBQ place. Lots of parking and seating inside. Cafeteria style ordering. Our cashier was very knowledgeable and explained everything to us. I’d eat that pulled pork sandwich every day if I could.

Had to try Rudy’s with all the great reviews and it lived up to the expectations. Brisket was my favorite and that should always be perfect in Texas. It was… I got moist (lean is the other option) it was cooked to perfection. Great flavor and tender. Basically, Rudy’s did everything right. The sides were all wonderful and my daughter loved the corn on the cob. Rudy’s staff were friendly and helpful with cheerful smiles and that gregarious Texas demeanor. Love the place and you can even fuel up your vehicle after dinner! Easy location right off the main road and a must stop in Corpus Christi. Easy to load up some take home too which seemed to be the thing locals were doing which is always a good sign of a great restaurant!
