Stopped by Rudy’s Country Store and Bar-B-Q and had such a great experience. I ordered the brisket, coleslaw, and peach cobbler — everything was on point. The brisket was tender and full of flavor, the coleslaw was fresh and balanced, and the peach cobbler was the perfect sweet finish.
Service was friendly and efficient, and the whole place had a welcoming vibe. There was even a car show happening while I was there, which made it feel fun and community-centered.

We get brisket and pulled pork sandwiches from Rudy’s every few weeks and they’re delicious. We dined in a few days ago and got half brisket and their jalapeños and cheddar sausage to share between my husband and I. They provide toast and all the condiments so we made delicious sandwiches and it was a great portion. We also got a side of Coleslaw.
If you’re in the mood for BBQ and don’t want to wait in line, this is a great spot. They have lots of seating indoor and in their covered porch area so you’ll have no issues finding a spot.

Always worth a stop at Rudy’s. Some of the best brisket you will ever have. I love the coleslaw as well. This place is pretty popular but the line is never super crazy. They offer a lot of good breakfast options as well that I haven’t tried yet but definitely plan to one day. Overall they have something for everyone here.

Good BBQ at fair price. Walk up counter. Cold sides in refrigerator case, warm sides dipped up for you. No plates, just butcher paper and Styrofoam bowls. Quick easy. Picnic type tables with chairs. Typical BBQ place atmosphere. Ordered 1/3 lb sliced beef, potato salad, beans, drink. It was at least $2 cheaper than BBQ place down the street. Just as good. Will go back.

Great customer service, it was late in the evening 7ish. Walked in, and we were greeted by a smiley worker at the front area. Then proceeded to the line to order our food. They were out of chicken but instead ordered a pound of brisket. I had a day old expired coupons for drinks I received this year for contributing to a donation they have earlier in the year. He accepted my coupons. Overall the experience was awesome. We left and 3 employees thank us as we exited the restaurant. We always like to come to this location.

We tried a little bit of everything, brisket, Turkey, sausage, their potato salad, cream corn, coleslaw… everything tasted so good! Enjoyed the whole self serve set up for condiments- including the pickles and jalapeños. They have bbq sauces on every table which was great! Then for our leftovers they had ziplock bags and brown paper bags which was awesome because it’s already all set out for you to grab as needed. Very spacious and so many seating available. TVs available so we watched football. Bathrooms were clean. Staff was great & very helpful.

This is the best Rudy’s restaurant in TX. Service is great, the atmosphere is full of life. And the food?…O my to the what is Tarnations is happening to my mouth gosh. That smoke turkey…I don’t think you heard me…..THAT SMOKE TURKEY!? There is not a presidential pardon big enough to safe these birds. Man let me tell you.. if you think turkey is the other dry meat. Well I’m here to tell you. This turkey is so moist. Pigs are jealous of how sweaty this meat is.. This turkey is so good. When you take a bite. You’ll wanna have a whole slap party. I just wanna say thank you. To all the employees of the Rudy’s establishment in New Braunfels. They have always treated my wife and I with exceptional service. If anyone is reading this, and has not gone there to eat. Stop what your doing. Grab the family and go treat your mouth to some great food. You will thank me later. Tell them Thinman sent you. We are winter Texans from Colorado. We were looking for a good barbecue meal. The food was underwhelming. We got brisket and turkey. Both were dry and chewy. Beans were a little too spicy for us. Coleslaw was good corn on the cob was not fresh and not tasty. We came away, very disappointed with her first Texas barbecue.

NB Rudy’s is the best BBQ in New Braunfels for Brisket, Baby Back Ribs, Turkey, Jalapeño sausage, cream corn, beans and new potatoes and sauce that doesn’t cost a arm and a leg. Of course it’s my opinion after eating all BBQ in NB.
