Went to rudys with a large group for a work thing. The customer service is great. Great for family style dining and large groups. The issues I had was the food quality was real hit or miss. I got the baby back ribs and brisquit as well as corn. The ribs were awesome. Cooked well and the sauce was great. The brisket was super dry and tasted like pure smoke. Normally i can let these things slide but for $14 a pound it should be pretty dialed in and quality controlled. The corn on the cob was also pretty over done and mush.Others in the group had similar complaints as well Ill probably go again to try and see if it was a one time issue.

You order and pick up at the counter. I had a pulled pork sandwich and it was very good. The three bean and potato salad sides were very good also. Beer in the bottle. Soft drinks in the bottle with many choices. Also soda fountain. Brisket chicken pork loin on the menu.

If you have been to a Rudy’s BBQ, you have to most of them with the exception of this particular Tudy’s.
My golf buddies stopped here for lunch after playing 18 holes of golf. I want to say it was the 7th hole where you could smell the aroma in the air of some good BBQ in the air. And to my amazing eyes it was right across the street of the golf course.
The ambiance of this place is nice and very open. I love the way they have tad the line laid out.
My biggest impression of this place was the customer serivce. All the staff were friendly and very helpful.
Upon leaving I was asked if I wanted a to go bag, they even kindly wrapped up my to go food better than I did originally. They asked me first if it was okay if they rewrappd them. Which i was even more amazed.
I have never been to Rudy’s like this particular one. The food here in my opinion was the best I ever had visiting a Rudy’s.

Ordered Rudy’s and usually don’t have a problem.
Moist Brisket was some of the toughest brisket I have ever had anywhere.
Ordered 1/2# Baby Back Ribs plus 1/2# of pork ribs to see which we liked better. Three nice size pork ribs for the 1/2#. Three ribs (3/4 the size of the pork ribs) for 1/2# (picture below). Seems shorted on the baby backs.
Picture below shows 3 Babyback Ribs, 3 Pork Ribs, 1/2# Moist (tough) Brisket, and a pint each of coleslaw, potato salad, and beans along with a quart of cobbler. With a $10.65 tip, total was $95.35 (no delivery fee and $7.50 off service fees). Just NOT worth the money.

I can’t say enough good things about Rudy’s. We ate here twice during our two week stay in the area. On the first trip, they allowed us to sample a few meats before purchasing our meals. I got the brisket sandwich, creamed corn and beans. Yum! On the second trip I got the smoked potato with brisket and the cobbler. Both were delicious and I have never seen a potato that big. Even the toughest critic in the group said everything he got was amazing, especially the ribs. The banana pudding, brownies and chocolate pudding all got good ratings from the group, too.

Rudy is one of my all time favorites. This location is always a great place to bring the family. We’re huge fans of the Rudy’s beans and sliced brisket with some jalapeño cheddar sausage. My wife enjoys the turkey and potato salad and we all love the banana pudding.

First time I have gone to Rudy’s here in Killleen and the two sandwiches I brought were cold and the meat was burnt and dried out. It was either over cooked or left over from yesterday. The Green Chili Stew was good and corn. I might never go back I was very disappointed.
