The service here was excellent. I was welcomed as I came in the door, and someone explained the menu to me, and told me I could try samples. I tried a sample of the Brisket, which was mouth watering good. I ordered a chopped brisket sandwich, and unfortunately, I did not enjoy it like I did the sample. They told me ahead of time there was BBQ sauce on that sandwich, but I didn’t realize how much. The brisket was more shredded than chopped, and mixed with a lot of sauce, so I really could not taste the meat. It had the consistency of a Sloppy Joe sandwich, and it left me disappointed. If you want a really soft sandwich with a lot of sauce you will like it. I didn’t enjoy it, but because the rest of my experience was very good, I will still be back sometime, to try a sliced brisket sandwich. The restaurant itself is also really nice, with plenty of parking and seating.

Let’s talk brisket, because yes, I had it, and yes, it was perfect. The cut was beautifully smoked over oak, with a dark crust that held an excellent bark, and the meat inside was tender, juicy, and full of smoky flavor. It’s the kind of brisket that makes you grin before you even reach for the sauce (though the sauce is good, too). Multiple reviews of the Fayetteville location already mention that the “moist brisket had a good bark and was very tender.” I couldn’t agree more!

I grew up eating Rudy’s BBQ in TX and when I moved to Arkansas, I tried Penguin Eds and Sassy BBQ much to my disappointment. I heard about Wrights so my sister and I went and left full but truly found it mediocre. We literally left saying, “I guess all we can do is wish a Rudy’s moves here.” We got our wish and it doesn’t disappoint! Juiciest brisket you’ll ever eat. Immaculately clean through and through. Rudy’s does it right. Don’t listen to the haters giving low scores as soon as this place opened. I guess they can’t compete because the BBQ here is proper.

This place is a no for me. The best thing I really liked was the pulled pork before I ruined it by putting the vinegar based BBQ sauce on it. The Mac and cheese was good and creamy better like gouda? The beans were cooked good did not like the flavor not tradtional Baked beans that I am use too. The coleslaw again thumbs down. I paid $25 for a meal I didnt eat but half of my half. My daughter did not like the BBQ sauce or the beans, Her rating for the food was a 3 stars.

I stopped by the new Rudy’s in Fayetteville, AR this afternoon to give it a try. When I walked in, there was no greeting and I headed straight to the counter to order. There was a bit of a holdup with three of us waiting in line, which took about 4–5 minutes to sort out before I was helped.
I ordered the jalapeño cheddar sausage, pork loin, coleslaw, and a drink. The ordering process itself took a few more minutes, and there was even a small delay over the coleslaw. They were out of the small size, and instead of a quick substitution, it required management approval to upgrade me to the next size — something that should’ve been an easy fix.
Once seated, my plate looked good, but the food reminded me why I don’t visit Rudy’s often. The BBQ was just okay — more along the lines of fast-food BBQ rather than anything memorable.
What did make the visit better was Bryson, the host. He checked on me a few times, gave me a friendly fist bump, and really added a positive touch to the experience. Because of him, I’d consider coming back again, but Rudy’s wouldn’t be a place I’d make a regular stop.

Went on a Sunday after 2pm. The place was almost empty. The wait time from the time I ordered my food, to actually getting my full, complete order was excessively long. The cashier had to ask 4 different people to cut my meat order. For being slow the back of the house seemed very chaotic. No one following through with what they needed to be doing. Having the cashiers get the sides is ridiculous and holds up the whole process. The flow in the kitchen is definitely off. When I got my meal, the Prime Rib was totally cold. The corn on the cob dried out and rubbery, the Mac and cheese has no flavor. The brisket was fine, but for the price I expect much, much better. It was my first time here and I would not return or recommend.

The general manager (or at least one of the partners) was beyond personable, friendly Ave helpful. He spoke with everyone and was very helpful with everything. The guy cutting the meat was very friendly as well. The food, as with any rudy’s, absolutely rocked! I don’t make it to fayetteville often, but when I do this will be a must visit for me.

Just when I thought BBQ around here couldn’t get any worse….. but …. this place definitely took the cake. This NWA spot is a disgrace to Texas barbecue. I knew I would be waisting my money but I just had to try it and it’s exactly what I thought it would be The food was awful, living up to my low expectations and wasting my money. Even worse than the dreadful food was the terrible service, solidifying this place as the worst barbecue experience I’ve ever had.

(good stand alone flavor)
-Sausage = 2 out of 5
(A lot like bologna, not a lot of flavor)
-Potato salad = 3 out of 5
(Not bad, but bland)
-Mac and cheese = 3 out of 5
(Dry, not saucy, but not bad for what it is)
-Creamed corn = 1 out of 5
(it was like undercooked corn with sweetened condensed milk maybe? Really weird… really not the kind of “creamy” you think with creamed corn… only thing I wouldn’t order again)
-BBQ Sauce = 4.5 out of 5
(really solid, kind of mix of NC and TX styles)
Great service. Nice people. Good atmosphere. And they are trying hard. I imagine it will improve over time. I’ll give it another shot on a Sunday. And if they are better, I’ll change my review.

This place could not open soon enough. I have enjoyed Rudy’s in multiple states for several years and now I finally have one in driving distance. They just opened this week and they were PACKED. Sounded like a lot of the staff was still being trained, but they all were friendly and helpful.
Think I met the manager/owner. Really great guy!!
The food was as good as their other locations (which means great BBQ). They had the Prime Rib (my wife’s favorite). The moist brisket had a good bark and was very tender.
We used to live in West Phoenix and would frequent the Tolleson location.
Kudos to Rudy’s. I’m eager to see them open other locations.
