My husband and I absolutely love this place! They serve the best fish and chips we’ve ever had fresh, crispy, and perfectly cooked.
Great service and a lovely atmosphere. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Absolutely the most fantastic fish and chips I have ever had. Incredibly light batter, little to no grease, the fish was fresh and flaky. Fries and gravy were awesome as well.
It is a small restaurant with limited seating. The parking lot is much the same. But if you want fantastic food just be patient. It is worth it.

Rudy and Olives…first visit…one piece fish and chips…light, crispy batter, lovely flaky haddock (fresh every day…not frozen), excellent, attentive service in a small restaurant on a crazy busy Saturday…simply an enjoyable Nova Scotia meal. Will definitely be back. Handicapped parking very close to the restaurant, outside picnic tables available.

Rudy and Olive’s redeemed NS fish and chips for me after a disappointing venture the night before. A small, busy little place you could easily pass by, but down home cooking that makes it a local favourite. The service was friendly in a casual no fuss kind of way…exactly what you would expect. The fish was delicious, and everyone in the joint seemed to agree! Moist, flaky, crispy batter, and the tartar sauce was amazing as well. The clams were tender and tasty as well. Disappointed they didn’t have chowder, not sure if that’s a permanent thing, but I got some down the street.

Came in the other day with a friend for lunch after my hairdresser recommended this place… drove all the way from Musquodoboit Harbour and this place DID NOT DISSAPOINT! The fish was sooooo fresh and flakey. Amazing tartar sauce, hand cut fries and nice portion sizes. The restaurant itself is super cute as well. Can’t wait to bring my parents here when they visit Nova Scotia as they love fish!

Absolutely disgusting, we ordered two 1 piece fish/chips. Fries are soggy hand cut home style and the fish was still flopping around on the plate. We went out of our way to try this place on family recommendations never again while I step foot in that place. Not to mention the extremely small portions for $40 !

We stumbled upon this place after visiting Peggy’s Cove. It’s a place off the side of the road with gorgeous art on the front and we didn’t realize how good the food was going to be… so we ended coming 2 days in a row! We got the seafood platter, cheeseburger, seafood chowder, shrimp tacos, fish & chips, and calamari (over the 2 days) – everything was amazing. But the desserts had to be our favourite part. The coconut cream pie and sticky toffee pudding are some of the best we’ve ever had. 12/10 place!!

Fabulous fish & chips shack in a little mall down the road from 2 fish markets. Friendly, local atmosphere, umbrella’d tables outside in addition to inside. Great hand cut fries, crispy out, fluffy in. Fish tick cut, moist, nice crisp batter, not too heavy. Nice deep fried clam strips, could use a bit more white pepper, but tasty fresh. Excellent seafood chowder cross between potato and cream broth, with good amount of mixed seafood. This place is a hit!

I’m not in the area much but I ate here a couple years ago and chatted with the owner while I ate. Fish and fries were delicious back then but what I got for takeout today was a greasy soggy mess. The fish was literally spilling oil onto my fries when I held it up. Fries were bland and tasted of nothing but oil. The place wasn’t very busy when I got there but the person working in the front was not very welcoming or personable at all and I could tell I wasn’t the only person thinking that, but maybe she was just having a bad day I don’t know but this place went from somewhere I’d recommend to somewhere I would avoid. Hopefully they’re not just coasting on their their early good reputation and it was just a bad day.

Our first visit. A cute little, very friendly place. The owner greeted us and was super polite. We had lobster roll and seafood platter. All was yummy. The scallops weren’t overcooked and the clams weren’t gritty. Large portions. Gingerbread for dessert was a little sticky but overall tasty. Good value and very inviting atmosphere. Would definitely return.
