Nice interior & soft reggel music.
Give the ham&turkey quiche a chance!!
It’s served with salsa and avocado slices: delicious!!! Not cheap, but worth the wait and it’s price. We shared one as a 2nd breakfast.
Tables outside (in the inner yard) were not too clean, so We rather headed back inside.

As you step into the door you’re greeted with a hello from Rudie, and just all around good vibes! many coffee selections and food, and the atmosphere inside and outside patio area is beautiful with greenery and color. Cool, chill, relaxing vibes! Tried the Rude Dawg signature coffee, delicious! Thank you Rudie for the awesome service, very welcoming! We’ll be back

Went here last week, staff was all really nice and most customers seemed to know each other well! The owner is really friendly, expressive, passionate, and knows the area really well. Me and a friend were taking a trip to Morro bay, and he gave a great suggestions on a trail to hike. This place also had really good Frapes, much better than chains in my opinion. I would most certainly go back if I was in the area!

If you want a taste of friendly Morro Bay hospitality with top notch coffee, go visit Rudie! He’s incredibly nice and knowledgeable if you’re visiting the area. The establishment is clean with a great coffee house vibe. And the coffee itself is superb! We will definitely be back next time we are up here. (Highly recommend the Mexican mocha!)

Disappointing Coffee Experience at Rudie’s Rock Espresso
We recently visited Rudie’s Rock Espresso while traveling on CA-1, enticed by its positive reviews and picturesque setting. Upon arrival, we were delighted by the charming ambiance and the beautiful backyard garden, which promised a pleasant coffee break for our group of four.
However, the quality of the coffee was extremely poor. From the first sip, it was clear that something was wrong. The coffee had a distinctly unpleasant taste, likely due to a combination of bad beans, poor brewing technique, or a group head that hadn’t been cleaned in ages. As someone who appreciates good coffee and respects the effort that goes into making it, I typically finish what I order. Unfortunately, this coffee was undrinkable, and I couldn’t get past the first few sips.
Despite the coffee’s poor quality, the staff were a redeeming feature. The two women working behind the counter were super polite and courteous. It’s possible we caught them on a bad day, but the coffee was undeniably subpar.
In summary, while Rudie’s Rock Espresso offers a lovely atmosphere and friendly service, the coffee was a major disappointment. I hope they can address these issues, as the location has great potential. Until then, coffee enthusiasts might want to look elsewhere for their caffeine fix.

A Cali must visit if you truly want to feel the vibe. Rudy is central California. Vibrant, funny, cool, welcoming. Killer breakfast burrito! Not your average offer. Just the right amount of avo, with hints of one spice, then another as you travel through the burrito. Don’t leave without discussing the power of a band’s rhythm section, local art, or how Rudy met his wife. Your day will be better for it.

Dropped in on Christmas Eve morning…really friendly welcome by the proprietor and his co-host. Excellent Cafe au lait and savory quiche. The Kentucky cake bars were out of sight. Family recipe…delicious. Grabbed a couple to go after downing the first. The vibe of the place is one that comes of good fun life energy.

Had breakfast here the past 2 mornings, and it’s been fantastic both times! We’ve had the burrito, the sandwich (on the everything bagel and the parmesan bagel), the coffee cake, and the monkey bread muffin…all were scrumptious! And, as Food Network has taught me, you eat with your eyes first…and this place delivers on that too! The staff is super perky and friendly, and very helpful. We enjoyed our meals there and will definitely be back!

I absolutely recommend this place to all tourists for breakfast and more! They offer a wide variety of muffins, beverages, sandwiches, wraps and so on. Definitely try their pumpkin loaf which was amazing with moist cake inside and well baked crust outside. The bagels sandwiches were nice as well. Their banana muffins and triple berry nut muffins were yum too. The burrito was not a great pic. The staff are very friendly and patient. The ambiance was great with a garden area in the back.
