I absolutely love Ruckles and I Remember eating there as a kid so I decided to come here with my boyfriend and little brother on Jan 23rd. I had the all you can eat fish, my boyfriend had steak tips, and my little brother had taco salad. Sadly, we all got food poisoning which is really disappointing because i genuinely missed this place and had exciting expectations. I don’t think we will be coming back for a while but the service was amazing and we loved the atmosphere.

I was so amazed at how delicious their food is. Good old fashioned home cooking. I’m single so I don’t cook much and need a good home cooked meal at least twice a month. I HIGHLY recommend Ruckles Restaurant. You can also go fishing at their pay lake that the owner, Andrea Roberts, said they stock regularly. Also cabins to rent right there on the premises in case you eat so much you just can’t make it home. Lolo

All I had was the coffee and a slice of butterscotch pie. Both were very good. But the place was very run-down, and all the “cute” parafinalia on the walls didn’t make up for the need for a good cleaning. Most of the place smelled like raw sewage which was so disappointing because the pie was great and the coffee was the largest cup I have ever had in a restaurant. On top of that, it was under $4.00!

Got the catfish and coleslaw. Slaw was really good and the Catfish was ok. Store just plain ugly inside. I have been back a couple times just for tslaw.

The food was amazing! The atmosphere is casual and comfortable and everyone was so friendly. It’s the kind of place you can take your family. Give them a try and I’m sure you will l return again.

Service was fast & friendly. The pot roast was tender & the flavor was fantastic! Mashed potatoes & peas were good but the brown gravy wasn’t so great. Beans & cornbread were excellent. The pulled pork sandwich was really dry. Portions are big & we were to full to have desserts. Can’t wait to try the pie though. Prices are definitely fair. You will get your money’s worth here.

Sat at a dirty table for 5 min. Waitress came by 3 times to get something for the table behind me and never said a word to me. The other Waitress just looked at me and keep moving. I guess 1 guest isn’t worth the 4 that walked in after me and got waited on right away. Won’t make this mistake again. (I had a menu in my had and had pushed all the dirty glasses together but yeah, my fault for looking like I’d already ate. If they think that is my fault that the waitress didn’t say anything after passing me 3 times, I’ll take the o e and not darken your door again.)
