I order here at least every two weeks, sometimes once a week! FLAVOR!! Incredible food! I enjoy the butter chicken (medium flavor). Start with mild to build spice tolerance. Very nice people! Small seating area inside but it’s easy to do an online order for pickup! Definitely give this place a try! It’s so good!

The main entrees, curry and tandoori chicken were both flavorful and delicious along with the fresh naan. The curry came with a dish of rice as well. We thought the prices were good considering how much food came with it too!

Their soup options looked interesting so we tried them but they tasted as if they were thinned campbells soups, honestly would not order those again.

It seemed like there were a decent amount of to-go orders while we dined as the inside of the restaurant was small with only a couple tables!

I ate here about 3 weeks ago with family and it was a wonderfully scrumptious experience. I had this spot saved on my list of places to eat at. The opportunity finally came up, and I was glad the wait was worth it. We were seated eagerly without hesitation upon entry. All 4 of us. I ordered the Chettinad curry with chicken. This was a delicious one of the best Indian entrees I’ve ever had (I’ve eaten a lot, probably 20-30 new Indian restaurants this year alone). I also got the cheese naan which was so good. That’s a must try.. It’s plenty of cheese, and it was gooey, and the naan was baked perfectly. The curry chicken was tender and perfectly seasoned. This is a must-try here. The other entrees that were ordered I don’t remember exactly, but everyone enjoyed their meals. Definitely come out and try the food here..I know I can’t wait to go back.

I have been to this place two times and tried six different dishes here. Each of which were absolutely delicious. I am very new to Indian food so have proceeded with caution. But have been blown away at how delicious these recipes are. You can tell they put a lot of time and thought into developing their recipes and take a lot of pride in quality here. I have tried the tikka masala, methi curry, and butter sauce. Each of which came with a 16 ounce container of sauce with whatever desired meat you want in it as well as a 16 ounce container of rice to mix it in. It is plenty of food to feed you two times. I love that you can customize the level of heat for each of the dishes. I personally like my dishes just a little bit spicy, the “mild“ is perfect for me. The “medium” heat is about as hot as I can tolerate it and still be enjoyable.. the Naan and deserts are also delicious! My favorite part was that I didn’t feel all sluggish and gross after I ate it the way I do when I eat Mexican food or American food. 10 out of 10 recommend. I will definitely be back soon!

I generally like this place — the flavours are excellent, and when I ask for extra spicy, they actually deliver.

I’ve ordered three times via Uber Eats and eaten in once. Dining in, I found the lady taking orders a bit pushy, and the portion size felt smaller than expected. Across all orders, both delivery and in-house, there’s a noticeable lack of protein in the dishes.

As much as I enjoy the flavour, the protein quantity doesn’t really match what you’re paying for, especially given the prices.

To preface my review, I do not claim to be an Indian food expert, but having grown up in Houston with Indian friends I have eaten some of the best Indian food around.

This quality of this restaurant perfectly matches what it is which is a very, very small hole in the wall neighborhood restaurant. Upon walking in I was greeted by a tsunami of spices that sent me back to my childhood visiting my Indian friends’ homes. Everyone dining in and working there were Indians, so that is always good sign that this establishment is at a very minimum valued by the small Indian population in Conroe.

I have seen complaints about service. The staff here seem, well, very Indian and so there is probably a misunderstanding of typical American’s expectations for service at a restaurant, and I think maybe those reviewers are being harsh. The hostess who I spoke to was kind, but did not have the best communication skills. I said I was picking up and an order and she just said, “for?” I repeated myself thinking she didn’t understand, to which she emphasized, “for??” She meant to say “for who?” Which would have been clear and proper.

Now as for the food. I found the chicken biryani fairly bland and oddly oily, but the included red onion and sauces provided the extra source of flavor to round it out. I much preferred the butter chicken my wife ordered, and in fact it was some of the best butter chicken I’ve had.

The garlic naan I think could do without cilantro and the samosas were delicious, but a bit spicy for me. I may be wrong on this, but when eating Indian food I look to the samosa as a sort of palate cleanser from the spicy entree.

There is plenty of complaint about price in the comments, and I am somewhat inclined to agree. For $17 the chicken biryani should have had more meat. Maybe at least use boneless chicken thighs so there is more meat per piece.

Overall I would recommend this to anyone in the area wanting Indian food, and it’s not like there’s any competition anyway!

Has an appointment in Conroe and tried this place. It’s a nice & sweet place if you want to try Indian food.
Food was delicious and really likes the place.
Sitting area is little small and while we were there people were waiting for the tables to get empty.
We order RUCHI’S VEG 555 as an appetizer.
It was the combination of Cauliflower, Baby Corns & Paneer.
Malai Kofta was really delicious. Would definitely recommend that if you like kofta.
Kadai Paneer was good too!

Our entire family was absolutely thrilled with the delicious food and friendly service from the family.

The flavors were so rich and on point. Veggie samosas were hot and crispy. Came with a sweeter tamrind like sauce and green yogurt like sauce. So yummy! Apolla fish was amazing. Velvety, hot, fresh seafood. Goat Roast was creamy and had great flavor. Saag Paneer was smooth and cheesy. Garlic Naan was garlicky and buttery. Butter chicken was super buttery and had phenomenal taste. Mango lassi was sweet and fresh & the Gulab jamun was sweet and honeyed with syrup.

Every time I crave Indian food, you can bet Ruchi’s will be the first spot on my mind. Conroe is very lucky to have this delicious Indian restaurant nearby.

I highly recommend this restaurant to all locals and visitors. Book online to ensure you have a seat!

Please write them a great review to keep them here and hopefully expand their restaurant for years to come!

Amazing experience. I had been craving Indian food but was not expecting to find this goldmine in Conroe. Seating was limited but luckily we were able to find a table before the dinner rush. Next time we’ll most likely do take out.

We got the veg samosas – 10/10. First bite told me everything I needed to know about the rest of the food. Every bite was full of flavor.

We got an order of the Butter Chicken (medium heat level). I am used to spice so I enjoyed a lot. My partner found it a tad bit spicy so beware, but delicious nonetheless. We also got Saag Lamb Curry (Mild). It was delicious! Garlic naan was nice and warm. Can’t wait to return!
