The restaurant is very clean. It being my first time there it was a bit confusing placing an order and getting my drink. They offer a very nice variety of drink options. The salsa with the chips was nice, the red was very watery and really wouldn’t adhere to a chip. The green was a nice consistency and flavor… BUT, the salsas on the table are spot on! Both were a perfect consistency and both has remarkable flavor!
I ordered the #1, birria tacos, 2 on corn and 2 on flour, and a corn in a cup.
The tacos had wonderful flavor as did the consolé. The corn tortillas were hard and chewy, the flour tortillas were perfect.
The corn in a cup was wonderful also, and I couldn’t finish it, so a waiter asked if I wanted to take it, I wanted to. He offered to add more cheese to it, which I thought spoke volumes about customer service.
Drink refills are $2, but worth it. I had dragon fruit, and it had actual dragon fruit in it!!
I recommend giving Ruby’s a try, with birria tacos, I found flour tortillas preferable.
As I was leaving, I saw the following sign, pay it forward.

Such a cute place and everything got better from there! The service was amazing thanks to the older gentleman seating, taking and delivering orders (hard worker). The food was delicious; I got the savory birria tacos with a yummy cup of elotes and a perfect horchata. My husband got a Mexican coke with the Lupe’s plate and enjoyed the chicken as well as the rice and beans. My son got the kids chicken and fries and did not complain! This location’s food was better than Ruby’s on Vine.

My wife wanted to check out Ruby’s #3, due to all the local hype. Ruby’s is a traditional Mexican food restaurant. So, the menu is mostly meat, cheese, and peppers. As a disclaimer, not being a fan of traditional Mexican cuisine, i did not expect to be impressed. i did however expect that i would finish the meal i ordered. i ordered a meat and cheese sandwich (of sorts) on toasted bread. It was oily/greasy and not much flavor otherwise. i ate half of it, took the rest to go and eventually disposed of it. My wife ordered some loaded nachos with which she was similarly unimpressed. A disappointing experience considering the hype and the good reviews. To give credit where it is due. The service is excellent.

Ruby’s is amazing. I highly recommend the doblados de birria, quesadillas, fajitas, elotes, and strawberry lemonade. I will say that I would like them to offer margaritas. I don’t even care for rice and beans much, but they are great from here!
We ordered food from this location for delivery for 7 adults, and it was still cooked perfectly. Job well done, guys. Great spot.
EDIT: I’ve ordered from here a few different times since my last review, and everything was cooked to perfection as usual. I ordered food for 6 people this time, and it was all fresh. The tortillas were hot and cooked perfectly. I think this is some of the best Mexican food there is. Job well done, ALWAYS.

Where to even begin! The service was incredible and the plates were flavorful! We walked in with a family of 7 on Father’s Day and were seated immediately and given menus asap.
We enjoyed the pozole, red enchiladas, sopes (sooooo good), shrimp cocktail and chips and salsa! The ambiance is great, good music not too loud and the bathrooms were clean!
We can’t wait to take the family back.

Arrived for lunch on a Sunday, I would say busy but plenty of seating. No wait staff, order first and seat your self. Good atmosphere with the exception of no music.
I ordered the Birria dobladas, charro beans and rice were flavored. Birria was delicious and the consume was hearty! Had to ask for extra onions, cilantro and lime 🙁
I also ordered the chicken fajitas, big portions, plenty of bell peppers and onions! Tortillas we definitely store bought and rubbery.
The green salsa had a kick and was my favorite.
Corn in a cup was okay but missing mayo and Chile powder.
Friendly staff and clean restaurant. Has patio seating facing Broadway.
Would dine in again.

I have been to Rubys a few times, today was not so great. Ordered our food, sat down in the back area, waited for our drinks. The waitress asked if we had 3 waters and one tea? I told her no we ordered 2 waters, a tea and a Dr Pepper. She said no you didn’t I can look at your receipt. Ok I’m not arguing with her. We drank the 3 waters she wanted to charge for the drink she didn’t ring up. I don’t mind paying for it but she very rude. No one brought us any chips I asked twice for some there 4 of us and the bowl they finally brought had about 10 chips in it. So we asked for another one. She never brought them so I asked a gentleman there for more chips and he was very nice and brought us another one. I also ordered half corn and half flour barira tacos and they were clearly all corn. I asked the same female waitress if they were all corn.? She rudely said nope that’s our flour. Turned her head and walked away. Not sure I will go back to the one on broadway due to the rudeness of her today… no need to be hateful for a mistake she made. Nor will we tip before hand anymore. My husband always tips well and you have to get your own refills also. What are we tipping yall for??

We had a mixed experience at Ruby’s. The aguas frescas were definitely the best part—refreshing and full of flavor. They had a nice variety too, including mango, strawberry lemonade, and cucumber.
The chips and salsa, though, were disappointing. The chips were cold and lacked any real crunch or seasoning, and the green salsa was far too salty to enjoy.
I did enjoy the corn in a cup—it was tasty, well-prepared, and fairly priced.
I ordered the tacos de bistec. They looked good, but the execution was off. The onions were sliced too large for tacos, the cilantro was mostly stems, and there was repollo (cabbage), which felt a bit out of place. The meat itself was dry and had a sticky texture. I’d rate the tacos about a 6 out of 10.
Service was fast—our food came out in around five minutes for a table of five, which was impressive.
Overall, Ruby’s has potential, especially with their drinks and elote, but the rest of the meal left a lot of room for improvement.

Me and my wife decided to have an early dinner, as we were in Tyler for an appointment. While driving tocards south Broadway we saw Ruby’s Mexican restaurant and thought we would give them a try. Upon entering we were surprised to see the establishment was large than we expected. This restaurant had a menu board to order from. We had never been here and had questions about the menu. The young lady who took are order was very helpful. We placed our order and received our drink cups. After choosing a table we didn’t have to wait long before our meals arrived
We both ordered the Birria taco plate. The food was outstanding. The restaurant and bathrooms were very clean and neat. I would highly recommend this business. If you are in the area, give them a try.

Seasoned perfectly and well priced. The horchata was equally good. Get there either before 12 or after 1 to avoid the crowd. Friendly staff and extremely fresh food
