We started as a catering business back in 2010, and simply by word of mouth, our clientele expanded throughout the DMV region. We continue to cater your taste buds through our catering services, but why be indulged just on special occasions when you can whet your appetite through sight, smell and sound (what’s a Jamaican restaurant without reggae music?) in our restaurant? I was a bit shocked to walk in and NOT have a Jamaican lady yelling at me for my order BUT instead was greeted with a friendly space and welcoming atmosphere! The folks here are really nice and the food is absolutely delicious. As a caterer I’ve made plenty of curry goat and this one is spot on. Flavors of thyme and ginger and allspice all on point. The jerk chicken was truly grilled to perfection, so good it didn’t even need sauce! The patties were a great treat too while we waiting about an hour for our food. We ordered four plates, escovich salmon, two curry goat, one jerk chicken and 16 jerk wings at 5:30pm on a Saturday so it took a minute to get our food. The service was great, but it took a little longer than expected. This place must be the spot because customers did not stop flowing in! They are hiring if you might want to help they could use more servers and cashiers! Only thing I wish I could try was the sorrel, but they didn’t have any when we got there.

MEAT ONLY FOR $14. I am so disappointed in this dish because I had such high hopes. They’re oxtails are delicious. I had their curry goat, which was delicious. And their greens are the best greens I think I’ve had an a very long time. But these jerk ribs, they’re not worth the price. Yes, the seasoning is there but you can’t charge people $14 for 4 skinny bones, you really can’t. I’m glad I got 2 portions. The second portion was not that great but the first portion was horrible. If it wasn’t for me being displaced and having my Insurance Company reimburse me for the food I eat, I would have had to return this. It’s not worth $14. I know times are hard, but I do better,. I can get a 1/2 rack jerk ribs across the bridge for about $17 and the ribs are larger.

My experience with the restaurant was almost promising until they served me raw shrimp. I only had a 30-minute break to grab a quick bite. I decided to go to a Jamaican restaurant to get a taste of my culture. Once I returned the food, they didn’t apologize or attempt to offer me something else. I am just happy I didn’t take a big bite out of the food that could have poisoned me.

Ordered the jerk salmon with rice and peas, mac ‘n cheese and greens. Jerk seasoning was just the right amt of heat without overpowering the salmon. Greens were well seasoned and mac ‘n cheese was just right. Overall, a very great pairing.

I placed an order online prior to arriving at the restaurant and still had to wait 20 minutes for my order. The mac & cheese was dry, the collards greens were salty, and the oxtails were over cooked. Needless to say I won’t waste my time or money again!

Edit. Stars taken off. I decided to give it another short after a few years. Still a disappointment. I got mannish water today and it had one spinner dumpling and one tiny piece of goat and 2 small pieces of yam, a bunch of water and noodle. RIDICULOUS

We came here on a Saturday early afternoon, and the waiting line was still long. The food was very delicious and affordable, and the portion was pretty large. Customers could choose their own side dishes, and all of them were pretty good as well (e.g., mac and cheese, fried plantains, collard green, cabbage, rice and beans). The Jamaican national dish, Ackee & saltfish, was also very delicious. Highly recommended!! (Follow me on IG ➡️ miss_dawang)

We went there for New Years Eve to get dinner to go. I ordered the Jerk Salmon Salad and fried plantains and let me tell you all reading this…it was amazing! Delicious!!!! I loved that they placed the fish and sauce in one dish and salad part in another! I have never had jerk salmon salad before, but I’ll be going back soon for another! My son had their beef patties and said they were really tasty and my significant other had a dish +I forgot what it was) but he said it was great!

Being a Jamaican a lot of “Caribbean” food places don’t really wow me but this place right here!! Sweetheart go bless yourself!! I got the Brown stewed chicken, rice and peas, macaroni and cheese, and plantain, and it did not disappoint. Also grabbed myself a kola champagne to wash everything down. If you’re balling on a budget come between opening and 1:00 p.m. that’s during lunch hours and lunch prices!!! Had the chance to actually meet Mrs. Ruby…she’s a doll and the entire staff that I encountered provided top tier service and were super pleasant. Honey! take the time to get into the accents made me feel like I was at home. Let’s just say this will not be my last visit and if you haven’t been you should go ahead and get your first visit out the way.
