Went in on a whim with our two toddlers. Got the hot dogs with the works! Excellent food, the service was incredibly friendly and welcoming. They interacted with our kids so well. Prices were decent too. Definitely will be coming back when we come back through.

You’d believe that a small town local business would uphold its integrity and pride in sharing their small town space with their small business owning neighbors, but they are not by ANY means welcoming.
Biased to their own beliefs, they shared in a disgusting public display of how much other local businesses take away from theirs, despite these neighboring businesses having the utmost right to share their exciting new ideas, foods, and services to bring back life into Fair Haven.

Oh, and the food is subpar. I’ve visited many a creperie in my life and the food is mid to low-grade and the atmosphere is plagued with favoritism and bigotry. Get with the times. New is better.
Sorry your own town went against you in inviting others to hold space where you call home.

It was mediocre. Got eggs, bacon, and a waffle. Eggs were way too wet. Bacon was microwaveable. Waffle was really good and the syrup was Vermont maple syrup. Ladies were super nice and accommodating, yet the food wasn’t worth the $50ish dollars we paid for it in my opinion.

Waiting in line at a new local favorite food truck Lil Brekky this morning here in Fair Haven when the co/owner of Ruby’s Bistro and Bakery comes out to verbally assault her fellow small business owner. Claiming Lil Brekky has no right to be in town, in this area, and that she has no idea why the town would have allowed her to open up shop locally. She also claimed that she was stealing and driving away customers not just from her bistro but from other places, and that she shouldn’t be here.

The owner of Lil Brekky was respectfully and politely quiet, I imagine as not to further instigate the Ruby’s Bistro co/owner needless aggression, because unfortunately this isn’t the first time she’s experienced this. She’s had the same thing happen in Poultney recently, another aggravated town citizen coming up to criticize, insult and belittle one of their own.

All the love to Lil Brekky, and such a shame to see another Vermonter be so bitter and unwelcoming. Way not to encompass such an important part of Vermont pride.

This place is a gem. The owners were very nice and personable. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. We had regular breakfast and two different crepes and all of it was delicious. We bought some to go pastries to eat later. Do yourself a favor and support this local place.

Ruby’s is a gem. One of the best crepes outside of France itself. The proprietor, having spent serious time in the various regions from where her foods come, clearly knows what she is doing.

Has a good vibe but seems they still need to work out the kinks. They need to manually enter every number on your credit/debit card which is slow and error prone. I waited a very long time for a sandwich, and then the italian sandwich I ordered came out with mayo on it which wasnt in the description and I do not like. But it seems to have potential and am ready to try again.
